We had such a great experience with K9 Koncepts! All of the trainers were very knowledgeable and impressive. Dusty wasn’t the only one being trained. I learned a lot myself. Dusty looked forward to class every week so much that he really misses it. I am so pleased with how Dusty has responded to his obedience training. I am so glad we took him to K9 Koncepts! More...

Definitely not worth the money. Very inconsistent training. One trainer says one thing, another one says another thing. Had we been informed of all the factors my wife and I would have never forked down $1600. 2 walks a day, no 4 walks a day, only feed twice a day, no only feed once every other day, 18 hours in crate, no 20 hours a day in crate. Etc etc etc. not worth $1600 More...

Please Please Please! do not take your dog here for obedience training, the classes are too big and the instructors do not have any useful advice and will harm your dog.

I knew nothing about dogs and came to these people for help when I adopted a rescue puppy and following their advice scarred my dog psychologically and ruined our bond. He is terrified of the crate because I trusted their advice to keep him in there for most of the day and night. He is terrified of me because I trusted their advice and "corrected" him when he wouldn't sit in a position they liked.

Make no mistake this place uses physical pain, withholding food and confinement to achieve their results and they're absolutely stubborn in their belief that their way works infallibly and have no time for your problems. I remember in basic obedience when asked any question they responded with the same question "how long are they the crate?"

I could rant for hours about all the problems of this place honestly it should shut down but whatever you do do not under any circumstances let Kiki hold your leash or work your e collar!

Ok honestly, 99% of dog owners are training and teaching their dogs wrong. I was floored by some things ive learned so far but it makes 100% sense. Graduated puppy going to obedience. Cant wait to learn more things that honestly any dog owner should but 99% of people dont.In response to - Keith Bannister- whom said they placed his dog outside. 1st the kennels arent decaying outside. Worn yes but perfectly safe. 2nd if youre dogs to agressive to run free with other dogs there then i can 100000% garuantee you wherever u take her now is LYING to you. The workers at certain dog places are ubder a GAG CLAUSE. They can not speak or they can be sued. So yeah your dog being perfect and no issues... LIE. 3rd i highly doubt a trainer refused to mess with your dog when they REHAB agressive dogs. Your dog may have sat a day or 2 with no interaction until it RESPONDS CORRECTLY. Maybe try training her and yourself. More...

Be careful, there's a good chance you're gonna get addicted to dog training thanks to them! I've learned so much from them. All the trainers and groomers are knowledgeable. 100% worth the money, you'll have one the most well-behaved dog in the neighborhood if you listen to the trainers and put in the time with your dog outside of class. Can't recommend them enough. More...

We came up to K9 Concepts on the recommendation of a good friend. I will be forever grateful for that recommendation!
Our 1. 5 year old pittie became very mouthy & dog aggressive. We met with Bill, David & Lucas on a snowy Sunday as our little ms tried to show them who was boss. We had a great meeting with Bill, and signed up immediately. He scheduled us with Kiki for our first session.
Kiki has been a lifesaver. She was patient, understanding & reassuring. We worked with Kiki one on one for several weeks before we started our group classes. The first week I was nervous, but she was right with me talking me through the whole class. Now several weeks later we are working on graduation! Our pup lays down and is non-reactive around other dogs. She comes on command and has mastered staying down with distractions!
We would not be here without the support of K9 Concepts & their training staff. We would not have the confidence to know our pup and understand her and her body language. Thank you K9 Concepts!! Thank you Kiki!!

We took Turk here for beginning stages of service dog training last year, and then this year he is going back for 3 week of boarding training. . Last year it didn't seem we went to a single class without learning something, from walking without pulling, to heeling, to sit stay, to sit stay with major distraction. Turk is currently ending his first week of a three week boarder training course, we shouldn't go see him until he is to the stage of his training where we are to learn how to use his new tools (and we miss him) But Bill keeps us posted on his well being and progress. When it comes to his training we don't trust anyone but K9 Koncepts, and that goes double when it comes to him being out of our house for this amount of time. We also have him bathed and groomed at K9 Koncepts, he has black nails and I worry about cutting them too deep, so I leave it to the pros. I give them 5 stars for taking care of my best friend, and understanding my wanting to check in on him and caring More...

I have been training with K9 Koncepts since my 2.5 year old malinois was 4 months old. I love all of the trainers there, especially James. He has taught me how to train my dog with positive methods such as clicker training and letting the dog figure out what I'm asking of her. It is really important to be fair to the dog and she is always happy when we're training, something that spectators and judges alike have commented on at trials. He knows how to read each and every dog and the best way to get the best out of them. Audacity is now titled to IPO1 and will soon be trialing for IPO2 & IPO3. I couldn't have found a better place to train my girl! More...

My husband and I enrolled both our dogs here and could not be more impressed with the outcome. We reccomend them to all our friends. We originally intended to only sign up our newest dog when he showed signs of aggression and bit me on multiple occasions during feeding. We stressed over the whole situation and considered giving him back to the pound where we were sure he'd be euthanized. A friend from the dog park recommended K-9 Koncepts. We had already tried other in-home trainers and their many methods which had resulted negatively. We were feeling we had nothing left to lose but our dog himself. The class was hard work. We did our homework diligently and learned how to communicate to build a better relationship of trust. What we learned was not just a quick fix but a lifestyle to continue to grow a deeper bond that will last a lifetime. Thanks guys! More...

My boyfriend and I rescued a pit bull mix, Yeti, in August and he has had dog aggression problems since we got him: he lunges after every dog he sees and barks incessantly to the point where we had no control. We just started aggressive dog classes with James this weekend (after an evaluation that our dog would be most successful after completing this training first) and we have already seen immense improvement! James brought us on for a one-on-one class with him and has trained us in correction and reward. While waiting to go to class today, Yeti didn't even bark at the dog in the car next to him! That's amazing to us! We are looking forward to continuing his classes and making him the best dog he can be. Thank you K9 Koncepts for the opportunity to let our dog live up to his full potential! Next month will be one year since I first came to K9 Koncepts with my corgi, Finnick. We came to our first puppy class with several issues, including excessive barking, mouthiness, bossy behavior, and an inability to communicate with him. Once the mouthiness turned to aggressive biting, I was genuinely unsure whether or not he was a dog we could keep. Kiki stepped in to rescue us from our troubles, and after just one week, we knew we had found the help we needed. What we didn't know was how much more we would gain from our time at K9 Koncepts than what we expected when we attended our first class there. Almost 12 months later, we are still attending classes (now in advanced obedience) because we enjoy them that much. We have a dog who is disciplined, eager to train, relaxed, happy, and a huge part of our hearts. We have a place to go weekly for fun, learning, exercise, and bonding. And we have friends among the trainers who treat us like family (we love you Kiki). To anyone looking for guidance, serious help, or just a better relationship with their dog, I'd recommend you go to K9 Koncepts, follow every single piece of advice they give you, and thank them every time you see them for the changes you'll undoubtedly see in your dog. I personally cannot thank them enough. More...

An amazing group of people! I started my rescue, Daisy, with them because she was being aggressive and attacking one of my other pups. Within 2 weeks of starting, she was a totally different dog! Then I was diagnosed with cancer and found that I wouldn’t be able to do classes with Daisy and was told do not worry about it, get yourself better and bring her back whenever you’re ready. It’s been 12 weeks and I think we will be returning in another 2-3 weeks! Daisy actually looked forward to the classes - she would get her leash and take it to the door on class days! More...

This place was totally the best when we took our dog Lizzie to board with them recently. She is a rescue and we just recently got her - she has some behavioral issues right now (bc of abuse) that have made it almost impossible for us to board her elsewhere bc she is fearful and snaps at the people when she boards. But no problems at this place - the employee who cares for the dogs (I think her name is Karen or Kara) took the time to work carefully with our dog to alleviate her initial fears - and when she did that Lizzie did not have any issues while boarding there. This employee actually took the time to hand feed Lizzie - after which she bonded with her and then no issues after that. Also, we had had a bad experience with a groomer at another place that Lizzie was very scared of and snapped at...so we were kind of at our wits end and scared to get her groomed - but they also groomed her here without a problem. The point is that (1) she knew enough about dogs to know how to handle her, and (2) she CARED enough to handle her with care and even feed her by hand. What other place will do that No place that i've been to. The other places where we tried to board her didn't know how to approach her and only made things worse than necessary - but not here. They really know dogs - AND they are nice people who CARE about dogs. They also offer training (which is primarily what they do) and I could see by watching a dog they had trained that they do an excellent job. So who cares if the place is not fancy (as some others mentioned)...it is clean and it is friendly - and it is a safe & spacious place for my dog to stay with people who CARE and didn't label her a bad dog. I really love these people. Thank you ❤ More...
