I rescued a dalmatian/lab mix and was having a real problem training her. I've rescued and fostered many dogs and was just struggling with Elsie.
She's a sweet dog and I felt so bad because I felt like I was always yelling at her. Sadly, I even debated returning her.
I'm so glad I found K9 AdvantEdge. After training with them, she came home staying in place even with being distracted from my border collie playing, balls rolling past her and us walking around. She walks on the leash so calmly when before even the trainer at a local chain that we tried told us Elsie needs more than she can offer. She's not jumping up on us anymore and I'm not afraid of her knocking me over. When I walk down the stairs, I tell her to wait at the top of the them until I'm at the bottom then call her to come down. And she does!
I realize this is a long review, but I simply cannot say enough about them in a few words. If you are frustrated, sad, angry or thinking that you're at the end of your rope and don't know what to do this is your sign that you do know what to do! Call K9 AdvantEdge! You will not be sorry.

Highly Recommend!! We hired Tyler and Esther to help us finish training our 10 month old Lab and they have done an awesome job. Tyler and Esther helped us so much with our huge, crazy, lovable pup. He has a ton of energy with new people and has no idea of his size. He is like a different dog around meeting new people and his manners are great. Still the fun loving dog we love, but so much easier to handle now. This was an excellent experience. My wife and I have a pup named Matilda, a 5 year old rescued pit who had an incredibly traumatic first year of life. She was abandoned, chained up outside in the middle of a Michigan winter with her nine puppies when the Humane society found her. Given all of that she has severe anxiety and is afraid of many things. This has led to her becoming destructive when we leave, breaking out of crates, chewing through three bedroom doors, ripping up carpet, and breaking a window. So not the best behavior. Not sure what to do at this point, seeing as her medication wasn't working and we feared she would destroy our home and hurt herself, we chose to enroll her in the 2 week board and train program. Tyler and Ester were wonderful. Right from the start they were great at explaining everything that was going on, giving updates on our pup, and giving us the tools to help continue her progress. When she returned it was clear she had made a lot of progress and we are so thankful. She didn't jump when they brought her in, we took her for a walk, something that had always been incredibly difficult, and saw how great she was at obeying obedience commands. Our 6 month old German shepherd just got home today with a whole new level of obedience! Esther & Tyler did amazing things with her! I absolutely loved the puppy class I was a part of. My dog Lily is very stubborn when it comes to training, and she is timid around strangers. I enjoyed the fact that each person attending the class was able to work on different things their dog needed help with. Working on commands at home was super simple and fun. We were overwhelmed after getting our new puppy, Harry. Our first call was to Tyler & Esther and they have been a huge help! They helped by giving us the confidence and knowledge to train our dog. We board and trained our german shepherd and it was so worth the money! We had just gotten her and I was so stressed and wanted to give her back but Tyler and Esther swooped in and saved the day, she came back pretty well trained, we still have lots of stuff to teach her but she has a great foundation started, and that's something I wouldn't have been able to do without their help!!

We've had a fabulous experience with Tyler and Esther helping us train our new pup, Calvin. He has responded so well to all we've worked on. I like their approach and business model, working with us on our turf and zeroing in on the areas we're he needed the most work. We've done group classes in the past, but this was a perfect fit to address things like walking 2 dogs together, calmly entering and citing our house, having my younger kids learn how to walk and work with the dog, practicing greeting visitors to our home properly-- you just can't do that sort of thing in other dog training classes. And I CANNOT say enough positive stuff about them personally. Tyler and Esther work together so well and really compliment each other making the most out of our training time. They are kind and patient and make training a fun and productive experience. We've boarded our dogs with them several times now, as well and couldn't be more pleased. We and our dogs adore them!!! I've been adopting rescues for 15 plus years and recently decided to "formally" train them. I hired Tyler and Esther at k9. My dogs are kind with no "bad" habits. One is 9 years old and the other is 8 months. I really didn't think the 9 year old would "train" well. He's sweet and thought he would play along but wow, Tyler and Esther showed us by implementing the proper techniques, even old dogs learn new tricks. Truly truly impressed. Sit, stays. Place. We are so impressed with the progress Chloe has made these past few weeks with Tyler and Esther! A couple months ago, we couldn't be in sight of another dog without her lunging and barking. Now, we know the proper techniques of introducing her to other dogs and can be up close and still composed! We sent Razmik to a four week training session . I was not sure if my expectations of a well mannered dog would be possible . I can not believe the transformation! Razmik was a happy,chase a bird, while on the leash type of dog. Now he is heeling, sitting before walking out the door.His recall has been amazing. I can give a command and he listens beautifully. We had our follow-up session and when Tyler and Esther walked in Razmik was so excited to see both of them. It made me so happy knowing how much he enjoyed his time there. My wife and I recently finished the 5 weeks training for our pup Element who is a 2 year old rescue. Tyler and Esther answered all of our questions and made us feel comfortable in our home. Both were very professional and drove a long way to meet with us. We knew our puppy had a great time too and we could see the progress. We worked on his attention focus, leash pulling and other basic commands. We discovered that Element worked best with the prong collar which was suggested by them. Although my wife was unsure about it, Tyler took his time educating us about the proper way to use the collar and helped us both trust the process. When I sent Elsa to stay with Esther I had made it very clear as to how badly Elsa behaved whenever we would go to get her out of her crate or go to feed her. Esther worked on her crate manners & Elsa does phenomenally well going in & coming out on command. Esther also worked on having Elsa sit & wait patiently for her food, we're still working on it but she's doing so much better! I'm so happy with the results & I know my girl was in such great hands. Honestly the best trainer's I have ever encountered by far! From the very first session they assured me that the aggressive traits my dog was showing was trainable.
