Kimberly is an amazing photographer and person. She shot both our maternity and newborn pictures and we were overwhelmed with the results. She has great patience with babies and really brought the inner angel out of our fussy daughter. Kimberley's experience and specialty with newborns really sets her apart from others, she knows just the right positions and shots to capture their unique beauty. She brought all the backdrops, props, and baskets, worked around our schedule and locations making the entire process a pleasure.

We had so much fun taking maternity photos with Kim! She didn't make us do awkward poses, she just let us have fun! She also was prepared with cool locations for our photos. She laughed with us, and made us feel really comfortable. She also made sure my clothes and hair were all in place which made me feel even more comfortable that we'd have a great set of photos!

When my dad got sick, all of a sudden it became a critical time to get family photos taken as soon as possible.  We hadn't had professional family pictures taken in years! I turned to Kimberly with the special request she meet my family and me in Manhattan Beach (CA).  She typically works around the Bay Area.  Not only that, it was right around Thanksgiving that I asked her to make time for us, time she'd planned to spend with her own family.  She didn't waiver a moment!  She immediately agreed and helped us figure out that a beach shoot would work great.  The morning of the shoot, my niece and nephew were tired and cranky, my dad in and out of coughing fits.  Kimberly worked efficiently, naturally, patiently, and warmly with each of us, offering suggestions and guidance as we moved around to a few different locations. Most of my family are not big into having photos taken of ourselves.  She instantly made us feel more at ease, and even got the kids to loosen up and have fun (no small feat!).  The quality of the photos and the tremendous emotional comfort they bring are unparalleled in anything we'd experienced.  There weren't words to describe our gratitude for Kimberly's work in documenting that special, though difficult time for our family.  She is one of the most creative, talented, thoughtful people with whom we have had the pleasure to work.  If you don't hire her, you're missing a valuable opportunity to build on memories that will last a lifetime.  Her personable, easy going, accommodating demeanor coupled with her technical capabilities and knowledge set her apart from all of the other professional photographers I've met.  And I work in the industry ;) More...

Kim photographed our baby boy at 17 days old, and I just have to say the experience was simply FANTASTIC! As a first time mom with newborn, it was hectic enough juggling everything, but Kim made the session so smooth and enjoyable. She brought all her own equipment, props, and outfits, which are adorable (definitely ask for the lion outfit). She was also so wonderful, warm, and patient with our fussy baby. I call her the "baby whisperer" since she was able to calm him down after just a few seconds of shushing, something I still not have been able to do! I felt so at ease with her in my house and working with our newborn. She has a ton of experience working at UCSF maternity ward and it really shows. Lastly, the photographs turned out AMAZING. Super high quality, professional, diverse, fun, and really captures the essence of our baby. I couldn't wait to show them to all of our family & friends! I wanted to surprise my wife with a maternity shoot and Kim was awesome.  Other than our wedding we have never hired a photographer,  but as soon as we met at Ocean Beach Kim was casual but professional in directing us.  She put us at ease and got some amazing images of us together.  As we were wrapping up she asked if we had any other favorite spots nearby and we all ended up traveling to the Redwood Grove by the Rose Garden for even more great memories.  I thought I had left plenty of time as the baby was not due for another month, but she came just a week later!  We recieved our digital album link while in the hospital and were so thankful Kim was able to capture my wife and I together before the arrival of our little one. We first booked Kimberly for our daughter's newborn photos, which easily could have been a nerve-wracking experience for first time parents. Instead, it was one of the warmest, calmest shoots ever. She talked us through what to expect before arriving, was in and out of our home in about an hour, and followed up shortly after the shoot before sending us so many sweet (and funny!) photos. Since then, she's chronicled the growth of our kid every several months (it's almost time for 3-year-old pics!) and each time is better than the last. She is always a pleasure to work with and we know we'll treasure all the photos she's taken when we're old and gray. We highly recommend Kimberly as your next photographer! More...

We loved working with Kimberly to photograph our son at 2 weeks old. She asked some questions up front as to what we were looking for and who would participate in our photo shoot. She was prompt and professional for the shoot. Our son got a little fussy at times and she was able to keep him calm and engaged, which was amazing! She was patient with the family as we wanted our dogs in our family picture with our son. The pictures turned out great! We got canvas photos, birth announcements and prints at reasonable prices. Kimberly is simply THE BEST!! She's prompt, professional, patient, warm, and has a natural eye for getting that perfect shot that will make your heart melt. I was nervous that my 1 week old baby would be fussy and crying during the photo shoot and we wouldn't end up with great photos. But Kimberly is a baby whisperer. She came to our home and captured our family and gave our child a fantastic memory of his childhood home. She took such great care of our baby during the shoot and his father and I were able to just sit back and relax, which was great since we have had such little sleep. We didn't have to do anything!As for the photos Kimberly perfectly captured our son. They are the most beautiful newborn photos I've ever seen. It's 100% worth the investment to end up with precious photos like these. I would recommend Kim to anyone and everyone looking for the BEST NEWBORN/FAMILY photographer.
