How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
The conversion of a garage, or part of a garage, into habitable space will normally require approval under the Building Regulations.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
First carry a full site survey,
Produce existing plans, elevations and sections
Then produce proposed plans and elevations and sections
Submitting planning application to council.
Building Regulations (Not required where habitable accommodation is not proposed and under 30m2)
How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
Planning permission is not normally required. However, permission is required where you extend or alter the roof space and it exceeds specified limits and conditions.
