What inspired you to start your own business?
In early 2008 I was downsized from, what at the time I felt was the last job I would ever hold, my role as Vice President at a Big-5, Fortune 500. After I personally laid off over 150 internal staff I just knew I could never put myself in a position where I was not 100% in charge of my own future or couldn’t stand up for my people. Two months later I launched K & J from my home office and now we’re three offices strong with over 100+ field employees.
