I enjoyed going to this store. It had friendly staff who were attentive to my needs (getting a drink at the drink bar), and I ended up with a frothed milk matcha drink that was tasty, smooth, and just the right temperature. I went to the ALO in palisades and they didn't have my size and they told us to come to the grove. We arrived - few minutes after closing and Peter and his kind team that were there still allowed us in to very quickly purchase the shirts I came to buy. They were all super kind and helpful. ALO has great classes all around Los Angeles. I love KATIE BAKI's classes at The Grove (check out a description i wrote about her in the ALO Beverly Hills location). also at The Grove: MARIE DELAGE teaches classes that require you to increase your balance with interesting movement combinations & your muscles feel like they become lean in her class & build core strength. This review is for the yoga studio upstairs. It is a beautiful welcoming space. Towels and yoga mats are provided. I have taken a handful of classes and they all have been excellent. Like one of the instructors mentioned to me, this studio allows them to create their own class without bounding them to a set of required poses or style. By doing this I feel that every class is not only unique and challenging but also has an extra feel of positivity and happiness that comes with the instructor's freedom to lead the practice. With that being said, the schedule is accurate on the type of class (vinyasa flow, power flow, core, etc) just the class won't be the same sequence every time as it is with other studios. Very impressed with this shop, the service I was provided, and the quality of their workout gear. My husband and I walked in and were greeted promptly but then left to shop. I like that the shop attendants were available to help but didn't hover over me. I wish more stores would take notes from your wonderful establishment. I came in to purchase an outfit as a reward for reaching my ultimate goal weight. I bought a pair of leggings and a bra. They are so well made and feel like a second skin. I really like shopping/ buying my leggings at alo.. people are super nice and helpful here .. Ashley was the person who helped me three days ago on picking my leggings. The place was busy but she took the time getting my size while I was in the fitting room and finding the leggings I want.. there was another lady who helped me.. I forgot her name but she helped me with my exchange and I ended up buying another one ..on my receipt her name was 02apie. I wish I remember her name bec she was very patience and helpful . Love Alo! The employees are usually much nicer to me than compared to LuLu Lemon.The brand doesn't rely on sweatshop labor and the clothes are more ethically made. The name/acronym ALO stands for AIR, LAND and OCEAN. What a great series of initials for an activewear brand that doesn't partake in sweatshop labor and is ethically made. It's also designed and headquartered in Los Angeles!I wish that I had discovered Alo sooner! I really love their leggings - the fit is so flattering (I only wear high-waisted) and the colors and silhouettes are modern and classy. They are durable, super high quality and will last a very long time with care. I have 8 pairs of Alo leggings (for now, lol) and I love them all: 4 moto and 4 goddess. I always get compliments every time I wear them too! The only top I have is a white cover tank which pairs amazingly well with my high waisted leggings. Looking to get the black soon but it's always sold out! The store is beautiful, very clean, inviting and organized. Customer service from my experience is good. I always order online though. I took the noon yoga class last Sunday with Nikki Norenberg and she was AMAZING. Hands down one of the best teachers around. Her energy was incredible and I truly appreciated her patience. She took the time to adjust people and make sure that we all were doing even the simplest poses properly. She cares so much and you can honestly feel that. I've attended workshops at the Beverly Hills location and I fall in love each time. They have very knowledgable people that come and teach different classes. It is amazing. Sometimes you get a snippet of the instructors story which makes it a lot more inspiring and you're more willing to learn about what they are going to teach. I saw the clothing in this store through the window, and they caught my eye. I just had to go in! I had never heard of this brand, and was pleased to discover a new favorite! I needed some help from the store associates and they were friendly and got me a different size. She even brought me her favorite sports bra when I asked for her suggestion. My fiancé enjoyed their coffee and kombucha bar while he waited on the comfy and spacious couch. I love this brand! I bought a full workout outfit and I can't wait to wear it. So I've had the chance to do Yoga and Meditation with Alo. I am beyond grateful to have found this spot. If I remember correctly I came across them on Instagram then decided to try a free class. I tried a sound class with Thalia and loved it. I also tried a class with Katie and loved that too. It was such a brilliant idea for them to create a space for people to come together and do yoga with such amazing teachers. They sell beverages too. I took the All Levels Vinyasa yoga class today with Carolina Goldberg and it was great!!!My friend and I showed up 2 minutes late for the class because we underestimated how long it would take to get to the studio. When we got there they had already started, and we felt really bad about it (it seems like they start pretty promptly, but still let you in if you're a little late, unlike CorePower Yoga), but Carolina was really nice about it and help us get set up with our blocks. The flows were easy to follow and everything went by really quickly! She made sure to go around and adjust people and towards the end had a portion that focused on inversions, so it's perfect for you yogi's who are interested in working on your headstands and handstands!I'd highly recommend taking her class if you'd want to challenge yourself! I believe she teaches Saturday's at 11am. The yoga studio super cute and in the upstairs area of the storefront. ALO has been one of my favorite brands for ages and I'm so happy I got to visit this location while in Santa Monica. This location truly is a sanctuary amidst the hustle and bustle of all the shops in the area. Between the coffee and the comfortable couches I did not want to leave. Absolutely in love this store & the yoga classes are amazing!!!!!!! Staff are so helpful & sweet. Marie is incredible Monday's & shayla is amazing on Saturday. Also Harper sometimes subs shes also great. All the teachers are so on point - they adjust your form & give you excellent tips.
