A friend asked me where I wanted to go for my birthday dinner and I found an old list of restaurants featured on a local PBS show called Check Please Kansas City. The Vineyard's aired in 2010. With a quick Google search, they are still open and the menu looked good, so this was my pick. We started with the mussels and do yourself a favor and ask for more bread to sop up all of the juice. For my entree, I got the filet of beef which came with cheesy scalloped potatoes and I substituted carrots for asparagus. I found myself trying to eat this as fast as possible; it was that good. I seriously thought of ordering this dish again since I really wanted more of everything. I was happy with the portion, it just tasted so good. My friend raved about the lamb and was already making plans to return with his girlfriend to try the duck. When making a reservation, they asked if there are any sensitivities. Not for us, but found out that most of their entrees are gluten free so I can take my wife next time.Our biggest disappointment came with the dessert (not enough to lose a rating star though). I had a ricotta cheese doughnut ball in lavender honey. It wasn't made wrong, just didn't appeal to my taste buds like everything else. My friend had the cheese cake, but felt it wasn't much better than store bought. Since this is a quaint restaurant that is a little on the romantic side, they really need a killer dessert.A couple of extra notes: this is not handicap friendly when it comes to the stairs. This is in an old house where the stairs to the bathroom (downstairs by the kitchen) are steep and narrow. How the wait staff goes up and down these stairs with plates is impressive. My husband and I spent the afternoon in Weston. Our brunch at Vineyard was the cherry on top!! The day was truly beautiful and fall was in the air. We decided to set outside as many others and enjoyed live music. The server was enthusiastic and knowledgable about the menu and excited to say all their meals are wonderful. The experience of this beautiful day and the fantastic meal was more than we could ask for. We will definitely return to Vineyard in the near future More...

When I asked my wife she didn't remember either except to say, "the whole thing was delicious! " The place is pricey but not outrageous. Reservations are recommended. Absolutely perfect! The food is outstanding, everyone is friendly and helpful and I just love the atmosphere. This place is a must if you're in Weston - its a tradition for my husband and I now too. EVERYTHING we've had here is melt in our mouth to die for - but I would pay BIG BUCKS for their potato soup recipe! So so so good! Everything I tried here was excellent. The fresh rosemary potato soup was creamy and delicious, and the beef and brie sandwich was a rich and savory delight. The portion sizes here seem small at first, but each dish is so packed with flavor that it is the perfect size to leave you satisfied, but not over full. oh my god the food is out of this world! the wait can be long but definitely worth it. they make everything from scratch, and do not use wheat unless they have to (they don't believe in fillers). their kitchen is tiny yet immaculately clean. they have two restrooms downstairs. you must try the potato salad! they serve bread and butter as a complimentary appetizer and also have appetizers on the menu. the creme brulee and fudge cake are heavenly! they can accommodate gluten free if you ask. it's across the street from a church that was turned into a winery. the staff are pleasant and jovial and will give you recipes if you ask.
