Warning, Stay Away, Do Not Hire! We had the worst experience with Mr. Lang (possibly Mr. Johnson). It took 10 months after our wedding for to receive unedited photos. Many important family photos are still missing.

Our wedding was May 2018, and one month after it he promised us the pictures were close to being delivered with everything in the contract and more. Then months went by with no photos, and we politely asked for updates. Sept 2018 he said he had personal issues that would delay him. Keep in mind, he already said the finished product was almost ready months ago. We were confused, but trusted him. So we asked if we could at least have all our raw unedited photos as stated in the contract, until he was able to edit them. He agreed to send them to us. Months pass by again with no photos and continuous unfulfilled promises, always saying that he would upload them soon. Finally in March 2019 we receive some of our unedited photos. We have been in contact with him trying to get the missing photos, and he has admitted he's deliberately withholding those photos, Our Memories, from us.

Here are some verbatim emails from Mr. Lang, none of these promises were met.

16 June - “Almost done. And I’ll send everything there!”
15 July - “Your package is done. The only thing I am waiting for is your wedding album, so I can mail everything. As soon as I get it. I’ll be sending everything 2 day air.“
3 Aug - “Yes I can upload photos, now I have canvas 40inch paper.”
19 Aug - “The images are still uploading, when it is done, you will receive a link!”
12 Nov - “. I just create the google link, and I am uploading images now, when they are finished, the file will send you a link.”

This really goes on and on….

Mr. Lang is unresponsive and unprofessional in all forms of communications . He gave many excuses both before and after the wedding. He claims that his phone was stolen, then his laptop, and he even turned off his phone service one time because a client was calling him too much. He rather send us multiple pity emails and excuses instead of providing us all our photos. In hindsight, we don't believe any of it.

He has also failed to fulfill many areas in our contract/agreement too. We never received our USB drive, digital wedding album, or our canvas. We also agreed to use his videographer and photobooth, both of which were cancelled/unavailable weeks before our wedding, adding to our stress.

Mr. Lang has also had issues with multiple business associates. Not paying other photographers, issues receiving products for his clients, and last minute cancellations. He prefers to use personal excuses, and blame his business associates for not fulfilling his contracts.

He also got drunk at our wedding. To be fair we weren't worried about him partaking in a celebratory toast, but it got to the point where multiple guests voiced concerns. He even got into an altercation with one of our friends at the wedding. Regrettably, we actually defended him at the time.

All in all, this was the biggest regret of our wedding day. Unfortunately we are in the process of taking legal action. He has even dared us to take legal action, citing that his contract is shielding him from liability.

Justin Lang Johnson was the photographer at our daughter's wedding. He turned out to be very unprofessional, giving her very few photos from the wedding. Even those few took months to produce after numerous requests. There were no family pictures and no pictures of the wedding itself. Missing were all the important moments of the ceremony and the reception. No refund was given. This was a very traumatic experience for all of us especially since he was entrusted with capturing all the precious memories of this milestone event for our families. He didn't check his camera throughout the event as a professional photographer would to make sure he was getting all the photos. He didn't back up the photos immediately afterwards and ended up wiping out most of them. Most distressing was his unscrupulous manner of dealing with this catastrophe by making up one lie after another to excuse his total lack of responsibility. He let everyone down in a major way.
He operates in a shady manner, changing the name of his business and location as bad reviews follow him. More...

DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!!!! DO NOT BELIEVE HIS LIES!!!! My husband and I met Justin Lang Johnson at my sister-in-law’s wedding November 2017, where he seemed to be really nice and professional. In December 2017, we briefly talked about hiring him as our wedding photographer for our wedding in October 2018. He insisted and called me numerous times saying that we had to give a deposit of $3000.00 in order to book him. The total for our package was $6K+. We trusted him and gave the Deposit on January 5, 2018, however, because my sister-in-law ended up having serious problems getting all her wedding photos, we decided to back down. Justin Lang Johnson gave numerous excuses via email, blaming Chris (his photography partner) in why he has not given my sister-in-law her photos. He became nasty and unprofessional when we asked for a full refund. He said to go ahead and sue him. He said there were other open cases against him and that he was bankrupt so no one would receive any money. He gave us $400 (13%) (8 months after) of what we gave him and said he’d send $500 every 2 weeks, and nothing! It’s been 15 months and we have not received the bulk of our money!!!! More...
