We tried to sell our property with another estate agent with no success, we contacted Harry Harper and they came to visit us the very same day we called. Explained that they would have an open day roughly 10 days after the property had been on the market of which wasn't offered by previous agent. We were slightly sceptical about the open day but decided to go with it. We were kept up to date prior to open day of how many potential buyers would be arriving of which 5 were confirmed. Well there was no need to be sceptical at all, 3 of the 5 put an offer in. What makes it even more amazing is that the day after the open day of which was a Sunday (yes, Harry Harper are open on Sunday's) Ben Churchill worked tirelessly to get us the best offer and we sold the property on that very same day. So from start to finish (initial valuation day, photography and measure day, leaving on the market for 10 days and then open day) it took a total of 2 weeks to sell our property, it was on the market with previous agents for 3 months with no results. We also sold for more than we expected of which was an additional bonus. I really cannot thank the Harry Harper team enough for the professional service, friendly approach, and complete and utter caring nature. Fantastic agency who are worth the fees they charge as they ensure you get the best price for you. Having compared them to other agents they made sure that I got more for my property. After having numerous issues with my previous agents, I decided to take the plunge and now have my portfolio managed by Harry Harper and couldn’t be happier with my choice. The personal service I received from the whole team, especially Ben Churchill, has been invaluable in giving me the reassurance I needed with clear, transparent explanations of the fees and potential costs involved and providing excellent oversight of my transfer to them with minimum fuss. Thorough inventories and tenancy agreements give me a sense that my investments are protected and from what I gather, the tenants are more than pleased with the service they have received which means my rental income remains secure. I contracted Harry Harper Estate Agents when looking for a property to purchase. They were very informative, took lots of details from me in relation to what I was looking for and my position. I have viewed a few properties with them, both Lynn and Ben were very informative when showing me around (which is a pleasant surprise from other agents who say "I don't deal with this area", or "Iv never showed anyone this house before"). First tenancy is 6 months for all tenants and renewal fee seems a bit steep, but it was worth it. After multiple issues with my previous 2 letting agencies, I realised you get what you pay for.
Maintenance issues were dealt with quickly, they trust tenants enough not to pop in every few months for inspections (like previous agencies) and just let you get on. When I go in the staff are all friendly and keen to sort out any queries asap. And even after being with them only 6 months (just renewed our tenancy, which you can choose 6 or 12 months) whenever I go into the office, the staff know who I am and remember queries I've made previously without having to pull up my account.
All in all, I'm more than happy with Harry Harper, and hope to be with them as long as I'm renting.
