Working with Joanna and knowing her go hand in hand she is someone you can be yourself around. She really can capture your spirit in a photo and always captures the inner beauty in people. She has been taking photos of my daughter for years and I am so blessed with all the wonderful prints that hang in my house. She also took pictures for my wedding and I was one happy bride. I get so many compliments on how beautiful my pictures are and how creative the photographer is. It was relaxing to me and my family to have Joanna at our wedding and we never felt rushed or inconvenienced by her, and I think that is a great quality to have in a photographer. We hired Joanna to do our wedding, and it was a great experience! We had an outdoor May wedding at William O’Brien State Park, and I loved the creative shoots she took of my granddaughter with a caterpillar, my dress hanging from a tree, the bubbles catching the sunlight, and people gathering afterward and chatting. Joanna’s experience and professionalism showed as she set up the shoots, getting people organized, and including the young children. The quality of photos were excellent as well. Long story short- There was a big family gathering to celebrate my Grandma's 90th Birthday this summer.
The one thing she asked for was to have a big family portrait taken (35 people). At the last minute we were informed that no one had found a photographer yet. I asked a close friend of mine who referred me to Julia's House. I am so GRATEFUL she did!
Joanna Gail of Julia's House came to our location and began asking questions about the family and the property. Joanna exudes a calm warmth that radiated through the entire photo session. She immediately made us feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera - Not an easy feat for me! Her happy smile and attitude made it fun for ALL of us.
Joanna's artistic eye is fabulous because she manages to capture the more natural, personal moments that occur as well as the formal, posed photos. In our pictures, Joanna most DEFINITELY got shots that demonstrate the unique personalities in our family.
The final images turned out beautifully. I am very pleased. I will treasure these pictures forever. Thank you to Joanna Gail of Julia's House for giving my entire family the gift of these memories.

You spend a great deal of time with your photographer on your wedding day. This is not something my husband and I thought about prior to booking Joanna to photograph our wedding, but I am so happy that we did! Our wedding-day portrait session was fun and low stress.
