Julian RollinsCertificate of Excellence 2019
Boncath, Dyfed(1 Review)
One-man micro-business with a track record of helping businesses, charities and public sector bodies communicate with customers, stakeholders and their own people.
I can help with online strategy and content, 'tone of voice' as well as research and writing for page content, brochures, leaflets, press releases - in fact, anything that requires the written word.
I'm also a very experienced project manager in the area of magazine and book production. I know how to work with with other creative professionals - designers, videographers, photographers - to deliver the very best outcome for the client.

Julian Rollins Q&A
What do you love most about your job?
Talking to interesting people and learning new things. In my experience people become so immersed in what they do they often lose sight of what's interesting about their business, service or product.
I'm a journalist by training and a nosey person by inclination. So, I usually discover the story, or stories, that make a client unique. It's the polar opposite of the one-size-fits-all approach that treats business writing as content.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Failure! I was working for the BBC as a TV producer in Birmingham, and expecting to spend years climbing the corporate ladder. The problem was that viewers hated the last show that I was involved with and the management listened to the numbers and opted to dump the failed project.
Before joining the BBC my ambitions had been to a writer, and to live by the sea. The offer of voluntary redundancy made that possible and I've been happily freelance ever since.
Why should our clients choose you?
I ask good questions, and I listen to what people tell me.
