My brother, his wife and a cousin all celebrated their 73rd birthday and I decided to take them for lunch.||I first took them for a drive to Saldanha and St Helen, thinking they would be hungry enough to appreciate the generous portions. We arrived well after lunch time and it was quiet being a Thursday.||I wanted the ribs which I sampled the last time I was there and my brother and cousin said they would have the same.||The brother who would normally be the driver said I wonder if I should have a beer. I remarked you are not driving so order the biggest drink you want (usually the wife would curb him).||The wife said she wasn't hungry but ordered the Eisbein which of course went home in a doggie bag - even home to Cape Town on the Friday.||My cousin and I could not finish our ribs but we enjoyed the vegetables and I of course must keep place for dessert. I had my ribs for breakfast the next morning. Even then it was still tender and off the bone||My brother said I am enjoying this and quietly finished his ribs, actually all the food on his plate and the draught. More...
