We have used JPK and their team for a number of years. Initially we enlisted their help on a rear extension to our cottage in green belt area. Having had our plans completed by a previous architect and rejected by the planning authority this was our second planning submission. At this point JPK sympathetically redesigned the plans, ironically gaining more space, and we were successful with our application. We have recently added a further smaller extension and Jason was well Aware of what would aesthetically work and also what was likely to get passed by planning. I arranged an appointment with Jason for 10:30 this morning. I received a message saying he'd arrive at 10:00. I replied back to informed him I wasn't available until 10:30. I heard nothing from him until 10:40 when I received a message saying he was on his way, but with no ETA. At 10:50 he arrived and when I pointed out that I'd requested a 10:30 appointment and neither 10:00 nor 10:50 were what was arranged he stormed out of the door and left. No word of explanation or apology.Having arranged an appointment, having (I assume) his secretary call yesterday to confirm the appointment the least he could have done was turn up when agreed. No concern that I'd taken time off work specifically to meet him.I can't comment on his professional abilities as he's gone.EDIT:1) At no time was it communicated that appointment times were approximate.2) The aggressive confrontation was the comment "I hope your architectural abilities are better than your time keeping".3) He was 20 minutes late. I contacted JPK Designs after a recommendation from my mum who had a loft conversion done some 10 or so years ago. Jason was so helpful and came to my property to discuss a potential loft conversion. We discussed ideas, potential problems and different ways to maximise space. We discussed costs very honestly and by the end I knew exactly how much it would be to have the plans drawn up and also an general idea of the building costs. I was also able to ask further questions via email and got very prompt responses. It helped my partner and I make the best decision for our property, and even though with another baby on the way we put the plans on hold I would not hesitate to contact Jason again. This is done prior to arranging a site visit or measured survey to reduce the amount of contact our team are having with customers.
During our site visits we would ask that we are able to access the affected rooms alone to survey whilst customers isolate in other areas of the dwelling with windows open throughout the property to allow sufficient ventilation. Our team will sanitise their hands upon entering the property and will be wearing PPE, we would ask that all clients also wear face coverings during our visit and respect social distancing. A covid19 safety information sheet is provided prior to all customers prior to our visit.

We offer a free (Covid safe) remote consultation and quotation prior to our on site consultation to offer advice and inspiration together with an outline of the services that we offer and associated fees, with no obligation or pressure sales.
Dealings with Local Authority
We prepare and submit all statutory applications to the local authority on your behalf and monitor the progress of the applications to ensure that the process runs smoothly.
Sketch schemes
We produce sketch scheme layouts in order to explore options with ideas to give inspiration. An agreed scheme can then be prepared following our discussions.
