I possess professional qualifications in Managing Safely Institute of Occupational Safety & Health, Practical Pyrotechnics – Safety & Awareness, First Aid at work, Fire Training Certificate, Registered Fire Officer, Dangerous Goods Handling, Fork Hoist Drivers Licence. My roles as Operations Manager, Production Manager, Special Effects Technician, Technical DSM, and safety officer in various venues have required that I possess up-to-date knowledge and experience of health and safety requirements and, more importantly, how to efficiently enforce them in dynamic environments. Additionally I have produced the first “Work Safe” manual for venue staff and users while working as Operations Manager at Bruce Mason Theatre & Conference Centre Takapuna and Sky City Auckland Ltd. (NZ)

I have extensive experience working in professional theatre and within many aspects of the entertainment industry. More recently I was Production/Technical Manager in a busy seaside venue which not only received high quality touring shows but also produced a number of in-house shows each year, including annual Christmas ‘Pantomime’ style actor musician family shows.

I am confident and experienced in taking a show from its design stage, through construction to the opening night, with a good working knowledge of, lighting and sound systems. I have first-hand knowledge of monitoring tight working budgets, reducing and streamlining operational costs.
