This restaurant sports wonderful Tex-Mex food, accompanied by service that is on par with five star restaurant! The food is excellent and portion size for the value! The steak fajitas were great the best around the steak was exceptional! The service was some of the best we had in a long time. The server even changed the ball game that was on the TV to cartoons for our 1 year old grandson to watch and had his fries out in 2 mins since he couldnt eat the chips and salsa. The Espinaca dip is delicious. The staff is usually friendly and helpful. Most of the food that I have tried is good. The location is great if you wanted to see a movie afterwards.

Food has always been great here. We are just not always impressed with the staff. We recently had an issue and the manager comped our espinaca dip, which was great. There was also a time when we walked in, the hostess who was filling up balloons was inhaling the helium of the childrens balloons trying to talk funny. Very unprofessional. Up scale location. You may not have heard of Briarcliff. It's like, if you're cool you don't say you're cool, kind of thing. Same for the great food. You know how some Mexican restaurants think they have to heat up their food with spices so hot to prove they have Mexican food. I love Jose Pepper's salsa! It's close to the Warren East. They have an amazing vegetarian fajita, which my wife loves. For meat lovers, the shrimp, chicken and beef fajita is excellent. The food is an excellent price. I can take my whole family, which is quite large and easily eat there for under a hundred dollars. Which if I take my whole family to a particular Happy clown fast food restaurant I'll spend over sixty. To me the improvement in quality and taste and excellent service for slightly more money is well worth it. More...

What a beautiful Valentine's Date night! Manager James Shields made sure my fiance and I were comfortable and well taken care of, as he and his staff did for the rest of the restaurant. It was a busy night but everyone had smiles and were genuinely happy to be of service. The food is top notch without question! Delicious food, great service...what else is there to say? My wife and I went there yesterday (Valentine's Day) at 6.30pm so dinner rush on a dinner holiday. We were given a table pager as most places do these days. We found a seat at the bar as we waited for a table. IMMEDIATELY served at the bar which was packed as would be expected. The best Mexican food I've ever had was in Topeka Kansas! The waitress was awesome, she looked nervous when she saw the 8 of us show up and was attentive and smooth in the end. The food was just amazing, juicy, cheesy, cooked too perfection on every plate. I wish I'd got a picture of the guacamole but we ate two bowls too quickly. First time at this location. Great experience! This Jose Peppers is a cut above the rest in the area. The cilantro rice was perfectly steamed and seasoned, had a real homemade feel to it.
