Will leave the reader to make up their own minds.... Lee from Jo's Gutters of Hertfordshire, offered to carry out the repair of our leaking gutter. He came round and worked for about 30 mins with a makeshift ladder, then informed me that it should be ok now. The next time the rain came, guess what... it was still leaking. Called Lee who said that next time he was in the area, he would swing by and fix the leak. Two weeks later, nothing heard, four weeks later still nothing after sending a reminder. Eventually, (and needing to get the leak fixed) Lee agreed to refund 50% of the amount paid, so I could get another contractor. I sent bank details to him but nothing received. Chased him on a Tuesday and he said that he would transfer the money on the Friday. This was over 6 weeks ago and still after many texts sent to him and a number of unanswered phone calls, he has failed to reply. I am now going to the Small Claims Court for a full refund plus expenses. It's not the amount of money involved but the principal. More...
