Too good to be true. The roasted ghost broccoli (aka the cauliflower) appetizer was ridiculously delicious. And, elk on hummus? Madness you say? Not so. It’s amazing. I called several weeks in advance asking for a reservation of 10 & letting them know we would need separate checks as we were a meetup group. Right off the bat the waiter told us this would not be possible, which made my stomach flip a bit since I organized this & we were a table of strangers. I had to assert that it must happen & the waiter said he would see what he could do. He asked who I spoke to when I called. It was a woman that took my reservation & he informed me that a man was the owner & that person didn't have the authority to do that. Already my meal experience here was edgy. I ordered a glass of pinot grigio. I got something else. I tasted someone elses glass & for sure I didn't have what I ordered. The waiter told me all pinot grigios were the same. So again I had to assert myself & make it known that NO, I did not get a glass of the wine I ordered. Geez. I know my wines. He then took it back & brought me what I ordered. My food was good & everyone else seemed happy with what they ordered. In the end, the waiter brought us separate checks & all was well, but I had to be concerned for the entire meal what would happen at the end, since I felt responsible. Several of us mentioned to each other that the waiter had a bit of attitude with us. Tip was added on to each check, so I don't understand what the problem was. All in all the food was good. The food was really good, the service was stellar. Prices are pretty standard. Be very careful when booking an event dinner. Make sure the person that did the booking is still with them at the time of your event. There could be some issues. (This section added 2 wks later) This was a dinner for 20+ people. Things went well until we were going over the bill. There was no way to be 100% sure that we got what we paid for. In retrospect, the sevice was kind of chaotic. Some dishes came out as double sized. And not knowing the regular size, it got confusing. Anyway, just be careful, anywhere. Make sure you get what you paid for. I still stand by my first review. As a vegetarian from India I find it difficult to find places with good vegetarian options. I like to eat food with a little spice and a good mix of masalas.
