I've sat down to write this review several times now and can never quite accurately put into words how thankful my husband and I are to have had Jon and Layne as our wedding photographers this July. Jono & Laynie have a continued to help us document our biggest family moments. We first met them for our engagement photos, then the wedding for photos and video. My wife's first mothers day was next, then a family photo shoot. The most recent one was a newborn session with our daughter. We will continue to work with them as we really appreciate the time they take, how comfortable they make everyone feel, the candid captures and the final resulting photos that we have all over our house. We found Jono + Laynie online while searching for destination wedding photographers. My wife and I work in the media and very critical/specific about the photo's we wanted of our big day.

After a few meetings and discussions we had no hesitations knowing that both Jono & Laynie could deliver the candid photography we wanted but also beautiful portrait photography to satisfy the masses.

Our destination wedding involved over 100 people, Jono + Laynie were welcome as part of the group from the start and demonstrated the perfect combination of social participation as well as complete professionalism while performing some amazing work.

We are happy we got to know Jono & Laynie over the year long planning process and wedding week. We feel blessed that we have some new friends in the industry whom we will refer and use for any of our future photography needs.

We hired Jono and Laynie to do our wedding photos and they were absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. Not only are the photos great, but they are professional, timely, and put in the little touches that really made it feel like more of a friendship than a business transaction. Their portfolio speaks for itself, but it doesn't tell you about the extra effort they put in that really puts things over the top. When it comes time for baby pictures we know who to call, and will be giving whole-hearted recommendations to friends and family. Thanks for helping to make our big day extra special!

Where to begin...

Our experience with Jono and Laynie was nothing short of fantastic. We did a lot of research. Ultimately we chose Jono and Laynie because we believed we would get an excellent product (natural, candid and well photographed moments of our wedding) AND a couple that made us feel comfortable being natural.

We got this and more.

The end result are photos (you can see on the blog) that we wouldn't change one bit. They were incredible when we first saw them, but as we go back and look at them more, we like them more. They captured moments, not just pictures.

What we could NOT discern before the "day of "was how they would interact with our guests. We could not be happier. Both Jono and Laynie were highly professional and very personable. They both have very positive attitudes and became part of the experience. I believe this allowed them to capture the experience without "getting in the way". Our guests told us they felt the same. This isn't something I came across in many reviews of other photographers, but it is something I would place high on the priority list if someone were to ask my advice.

During the wedding they knew where to be so they could capture everything special without being intrusive, and were direct to make the best use of our limited time.

When planning how the day would unfold both were very helpful in offering experience on what would look good, what wouldn't, and what what would work well from a planning perspective. This was very helpful and developed a sense of mutual respect for one another that made the photographing of our day not only "nothing to worry about", but frankly something we enjoyed.

Overall, this duo is a resounding 5 stars for us. We expected a lot and got more.

Layne (& Jono) were amazing - so talented and easy to work with! From our first meeting it was as though we were two old friends catching up over coffee. Her personality is and was infectious - I had no doubt that she would be able to capture our love story. She was very accommodating with timing of our wedding weekend, and had great ideas for picking out spots for photos on both our engagement shoot and wedding day. She had to be really creative with the rain...and she pulled it off - we love all our photos! The turn around for the photos was amazingly fast and left us blown away at the quality and number of photos we received!! I can't imagine how many hours she spent editing our photos.

A company that can take the vision in your mind, and make it reality.

I've used many photographers, and now I've finally found the artists that can produce the high quality, unique, images I'm after. I wanted photos that I could enlarge and hang on my walls as art. I've tried the 'budding, aspiring, photographers', but the experience and quality just wasn't there. I first noticed Jonathan's and Layne's obviously educated skills while they were photographing a wedding I was in. I peeked over Layne's shoulder (I know, so rude), and was impressed at how she gauged the light and exposure so well on camera. The image that showed up was stunning! And that was just on the little screen of her camera. I could tell right away that her skill was capturing the moment correctly the first time, on camera, leaving little need for any later editing. That, to me, was the sign of an experienced, well educated, talented photographer.

Add to that their infectious personalities, and fun-loving energy, and every photoshoot is easy going, and stress free.

I highly recommend Jono & Laynie Co. for any photography needs, no matter how unique.

Jono and Laynie are amazing! We had Laynie photograph our wedding, and from the minute we met I knew we made a great decision in hiring her. The day of the wedding she was the perfect combination of professional but also fun, easygoing and supportive. She made sure to get all of the photos we had requested, which was great as I knew we were in good hands and didn’t have to worry that any special moments weren’t being captured. Having her around definitely put us at ease too. We’re typically very camera shy, but Laynie made us feel so comfortable and I must say I actually enjoyed having my picture taken with Laynie as the photographer. We got our photos back yesterday and I’m blown away and couldn’t be happier with the final product. Our guests also had great things to say about her and their intern Jackie too! We have been working with Jon and Layne for over a decade. They are our go to for anything photography. Our clients love their work on the presentation of their properties on line which attracts so much attention that this truly helps get our clients top dollar on the sale. They have done our head shots throughout the years as well.
