What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Ultimately understanding what the client is looking for. A photograph should tell a story.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What do you want to achieve with your images? How will you be using these images? Who is your target audience? If I melt dry ice, can I swim in it without getting wet?
What do you love most about your job?
I love most the personal interaction with people-- which surprised me. I'm not a real talkative guy but just have enjoyed the relationships developed around photography.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I needed a job. Okay, really I loved photography and found I am gifted in such a way to do it well. I heard someone say early on, "photographers are not business people, they are artists who start businesses to support their art."
