I called him shortly after because I LOVED his work I saw online and just HAD to book him. He was busy editing photos but he stopped just to take the time out to assist me. He was so warm and welcoming, and from the moment we spoke I knew my fiancé and I had to book him. John was so friendly, and warm on our engagement shoot. John exceeded all of our expectations for our daughter's wedding photography. His selection of settings, lighting, and poses was superb, reflecting his obvious love of his art and his commitment to providing a quality product for his customers.

John was seemingly everywhere, providing numerous views of all the major events of the ceremony and reception. He handles all of his equipment himself, so you're dealing with the artist-owner exclusively.

The package we purchased included an engagement shoot and albums for the bride/groom and both sets of parents. Compare prices and you'll see that John provides excellent value.

We hired John Munno last summer, a year ahead of our summer wedding. From the first contact, John was absolutely wonderful to work with. He had three consultations with us over the course of the year and answered SO many questions for us. He truly knows wedding planning processes and made our lives so easy. We had difficulty with our venue and John helped us re-do our day of timeline, effortlessly!

I don’t even know where to begin with my gratitude and praise for his work on the day of our wedding! He was so professional and made everyone feel so comfortable. He worked with our families during family pictures to make sure even my one year old niece was in the picture and looking happy!! Our bridal party portraits and couple pictures are absolutely breathtaking. We had a solid hour where he continued to work with us and find the best spots/angles. The pictures truly took our breath away.

At the reception, he seemed to capture every second. My mom cried looking through the album because John captured moments that she thought she had missed! Yet, he was professional and often felt invisible to us!

John returned our pictures to us in a week and released so many wonderful sneak peeks through social media that we were able to share with our friends and family. My husband remarked that it felt like we had a team of multiple photographers and yet, it was just John, who masterfully and perfectly captured our wonderful day! John was the perfect photographer for our wedding! We met him at his studio a couple of weeks before the wedding, he helped us put together the schedule and he had some great ideas based on our preferences. By the time we started taking pictures, he was already familiar with the venue and where to go to take the best outdoor pictures. We had a great time and we're happy that John was part of the whole day. John sent us 15 pictures already the next day! And they were perfect. He sent us the remaining pictures (+800) within two weeks of the wedding. We loved all of them. John was an amazing photographer who really helped us plan our day from start to finish, and we absolutely loved his photos! We couldn't have asked for a better photographer, and his prices were incredibly reasonable for the amazing service and number of photos we received. His attention to detail really came through in our first look photos. We got married in a field surrounded by mountains, and John immediately saw the best places to frame our portraits with the mountains behind us. He also captured amazing action shots on the dance floor without getting in anyone's way. He was only one photographer, but all of the views that we got during our ceremony and reception made it look like we had hired an additional photographer. In addition, we did a lot of our wedding DIY, and it was so helpful to talk to John on the phone before the wedding date to help solidify many details that we hadn't considered, like the benefits of a first look and what details were most important to us that day. He wasn't pushy in the least, but he presented the pros and cons of each choice to help us make an informed decision, and he was flexible and accommodating. John Munno was one of the best vendors we worked with during our wedding. Pricing and expectations were very straightforward, and he readily adjusted to what we wanted from him. If you can even beat his price, you would probably miss out on John's excellent attention to detail and palpable enthusiasm. John responds to email updates and inquiries so quickly, he became our basis of expectations for working with a vendor on a major event.

*****Yes, John is a dynamo getting those pictures back to you edited and exceptionally quick. Ours came back in less than two weeks, and it’s prime wedding season!
*****Yes, the photos were beyond our expectations. Everything from timing, to lighting, to composition, to originality, to the expressiveness of the moment was met with perfection of detail.
For those reasons alone, John would be the only photographer I would recommend, but John was exceptional in so many more ways.

John is an amazing artist with an uncanny ability to perpetuate an air of calmness and serenity in what could potentially be a frantic day. I didn’t know how to finish lacing up the back of my daughter’s wedding gown. John did! He jumped right in a knew exactly how to tie off and hide the sashes.
I had no plan B for a picture taking location in the event of rain or soggy fields. John did! Knowing that the weather was predicted to be poor, John scouted out the neighborhood days before the wedding and found a perfect alternative. Not only did he find the best setting for the photos, but he asked for permission to use the property in advance so that it was all carefree the day of.
I was worried that not having a videographer would mean not being able to “relive” the wedding. That is absolutely not the case. John captured beautiful candid moments throughout the entire day and night; from the teardrops streaming down the father of the bride’s cheeks as he walked her down the aisle, to the crazy antics of a slightly inebriated dance floor crowd attempting their best live rendition of Meatloaf’s “Paradise by the Dashboard Light.” John caught it all. He caught it all, but he never got in the way! He was constantly on the move getting so many different angles and perspectives. This was great not only for us because of the many fabulous pictures taken, but for the guests as well. John’s mobility never left anyone with a blocked view. There was never any bulky photo equipment parked in front of anyone’s table or causing any unsightly ceremonial visuals. So even our guests’ personal cell phone pictures have unobstructed views of the events. I wish I could write a better review, because John deserves the greatest praise for his artistry and kindheartedness. John was so much more than a photographer at my daughter’s wedding. He was a caring friend and now, as everyone who attended that wedding agrees, John is a member of the family. More...

“We had the pleasure of working with John from May-Dec, 2018. After our first meeting at his studio we were impressed and comfortable enough to go on contract immediately. We were very impressed with John's professionalism, photography expertise and experience, along with his honest answers to our questions, enthusiasm, reassuring manner and friendliness. At no time did we ever doubt John was not the best person for our wedding.
Planning: We had several phone conferences to review and coordinate our wedding day timeline plan and photo list, which covered three locations across Milford and Trumbull. John wanted to make sure everything was covered and was willing to hold as many calls as required to insure everything was covered, organized and executed perfectly.
Photography: John spared no effort to insure all our requested wedding photos would be captured. He stopped at our reception venue prior to arriving early at the church to ensure he captured the table setups and church decorations before any guest arrivals. His coverage of the ceremony was inclusive while not being intrusive. He followed along with last minute unscheduled changes to our post-ceremony location. Our beach photos felt like a professional photo-shoot. John's friendly and encouraging manner made the photos a joyous event and not the least stressful. Our portraits came out great! His reception coverage was exceptional. Guests commented that he was everywhere! His exceptional expertise and photographic knowledge were truly on display capturing every major activity and special nuances. We received a email link to all of our 1000-plus photos within a week to share with our guests, as well as receiving the mailed memory stick.
Album: John's dedication to making the customer happy is extraordinary. It was tough trying to narrow down the album photo selections from the large assortment of photos covering our day. John was always open to our input and suggestions. John went through multiple iterations of our album design with us, including additional requested editing, to ensure we received the perfect wedding album. He even upgraded our album to provide us with the cover that we wanted. Once finalized, we received the album in a week and it is gorgeous. Looking forward to showing it off! My fiancé and I will be getting married in April 2020 and we just recently had our engagement photo shoot with John. Many of my friends who have had engagement pictures done with other photographers spoke about how awkward it was for them. Ours was anything but. John took the time to get to know my fiancé and I before, during, and after our shoot. He made us feel comfortable and at ease the whole time. His enthusiasm and complementary manner were genuine and heartfelt. He treated this day with the same importance as a wedding and provided us with over 200 beautiful engagement pictures within the week following the photo shoot. All pictures were uploaded in high resolution to a password protected website for us to view and download or share with family and friends as we please.

John was the first vendor we hired and right from the start we were confident in that decision. We knew within five minutes of talking to him that he was the right photographer for us. John is honest, personable, accommodating, and takes great pride in his work. He truly enjoys what he does and as such provides great quality work at an affordable price. We are so excited to have him at our wedding next April.
