We got married in Galway on 1/06/18. We were lucky enough to have John photograph our day . From the first meeting John made us both feel so at ease and excited. He explained everything to us and gave us great hints and tips . He listened to all our ideas and requests. John was one of the first people with me getting ready in the morning and his kind and fun nature took away any nerves I might have had. We got married on June 29th 2018 and were blessed to have John. In his blog he mentioned how I got in touch with him first to see his availability before we booked the church and venue. My photos are the answers as to why I wanted to secure John first. He is a master of his trade and does it in such a low key manner. From the first time we met him he was a pleasure to talk and deal with and went out of his way to get the names of all involved so he could make the experience more personal. Looking back on our photos he captured every moment of the day perfectly and every time I look at the photos it's like reliving the day all over. Today we took possession of our long-awaited wedding photographs.

We say long awaited as we felt our photographer John McMahon on the day was both very professional and innovative in shot selection and compilation and could not wait to see his vision. To say we were not disappointed is an understatement the presentation and content were absolutely mesmerising, and they will be a long-lasting reminder of a wonderful day captured in such an innovative way.

I am the owner of VIP TAXIS GALWAY and operate VIP WEDDING CARS and have had the pleasure of doing a lot of Weddings with this absolutely Fantastic Photographer.

When I arrive at the Brides House on the morning of a Wedding and see John my day just gets better, he is so relaxed and professional and makes no fuss whilst all the time capturing those precious moments through out the Day. Some Photographers can be very daunting and leave couples so stressed out but not John.

His eye for a great shot is unbelievable as you can see from the photos on this page and I have learnt a little bit about photography from him. He will of course do the staged traditional photos but all the time he is snapping away getting the photos couples don't even know are been taken.

I highly recommend John and look forward to meeting him more in the Future.

John is an absolute gent and the best photographer this side of the Shannon to boot!! We collected our wedding images this evening and to say we love them is an understatement! ! We got family photos done a few wks back at the charity photo shoot! I wanted pics with my own family then my partner & son. John oblidged us & didnt mind at all! Hi John sorry about the delay in doing this. First of all thank you so much for all you did for Sharon and I before, during and after the wedding (5/4/18) from the first email you were so easy to deal with and your level of professionalism and just know how was brilliant.
What can I say about the day of the wedding Sharon, her bridesmaids, parents and family members that were in her house in the morning were very complementary of how good you were and just how easy you went about your business. When you arrived at the church you got a few shots with myself and groomsmen and then the mass flew by. Sharon and I thought we could spot you during the mass but I am sure you were hiding somewhere taking those quiet pictures unnoticed. We arrived at the claddagh for the wedding pictures and nearly had a battle to get the right spot on the pier with a quick dash as there was another bride and groom there but didn't go to the right spot. We spent 15-20 minutes max and it was done so professional and also quick (which we wanted)
Everyone at the reception were commenting that you were so easy to deal with and were not over intrusive. We were trying to keep an eye on you for the reception but once again you were taking those unposed photos from somewhere unnoticed.
Thanks so much for being a major part of our wedding Sharon and I would like to thank you once again for making it so easy for us and we would 100% recomend you to anyone. We are so looking forward to the full pictures.

We got married on the 5th May 2018. When we first got engaged we researched many photographers and we met with a few of them but we just did not connect with them. Then we met John and immediately we connected with him. John was so professional right from the beginning and knew exactly the photos we wanted to capture! John is so friendly and easy going. I don't even know where to start about John! one of the best decision we made regarding the wedding. his fun, positive and relaxed nature not only put everyone at ease but helped us to forget the camera was even there. he is the perfect person to have around on what can be a stressful morning and everyone is still talking about how calm and friendly he is. Within 2 days we received some sneak peeks of the photographs which was so exciting and helped us to relive some of the fun of the day. I want to start off by saying a HUGE THANK YOU to this wonderful man and to describe his talent for photography as excellent is only a start. My Husband and I booked John for our wedding after seeing the kind and gentle way in which he treated my best friend and her groom on their wedding day. On the 1st June 2017 he landed at my house in Muigh-Inis, Carna, Connemara and instantly just slotted in as one of our own getting ready for the big day. Hardly knew he was there as he went along capturing the most intimate and truly magical moments that I will treasure forever more. At the church he caught myself and my groom chatting and nattering away and caught our little glances to each other when we thought no one was looking.... Then after the ceremony he braved the elements, and with the threat of rain and the high winds blowing my veil in every direction, he captured the most stunning photographs. I could never have ever imagined what he saw and caught on camera and exceeded any expectation that we ever had. John you made our day so wonderful and we know you will forever be our friend.
