What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Use an experienced , pro presenter, not a mate with a laptop. Pros will research the event , the crowd and the client and prepare his/ her music accordingly. They will have good quality equipment which is suitable for the venue, surroundings and the crowd. They'll also have back up kit to hand.
Play what the crowd want to hear, Be polite, funny and friendly and interact with the customers- it's them that set the tone of the evening but the dj who conducts the tempo and mood. Move the music around so that everyone gets to hear what they want. Endow the music programme with a sense of theatre to make the dancing exciting. Make sure the sound and lighting are dynamic not just loud and flashy. Get the moody guy leaning on the back wall near the door dancing and you can guarantee everyone else is having a good time!
