2017 winner TMT 'Best Event Magician - Midlands'
2017 winner 'Best Wedding Magician - Midlands'
Top quality service guaranteed - 21 magician years experience from a full time, professional magician (not a part-time 'sideline' compared to most others). Before I went full time, I also held a high-level professional job and so you can be assured of a well-spoken, highly educated (but down to earth!) entertainer. Please bear in mind that with CLOSE UP magic, the magician's sleight of hand skills are almost secondary - what is MUCH more important is how engaging they are with guests and how good their interpersonal skills are. Luckily John Constantine's feedback is outstanding n this regard.

How long have you been interested in magic?
Virtually all my life; watched a magician on TV as a boy and got my first magic book through my school book club when I was 11 years old. Took it all further from there! I now have a huge library of books by the top magicians in the world who do share their magic to fellow magicians (at considerable cost!) Contrary to popular belief, magicians do share their secrets - but its supposed to be only to other magician and of course, at a cost!
Take us through your show – what can we expect?
You can expect at least 2 hours of top quality 'close up' magic. I mix and mingle with your guests informally over drinks if they are standing and chatting and then move on to when they are sitting down at dinner tables. I go to each table in turn, always going to tables that are waiting for their food first or are in-between courses. There is always a table in this situation so I go to each one until all are reached. In other words, I never interrupt people when they are eating. This is a great way of making the wait seem shorter and close up magic is also a very good icebreaker for people who do not know each other well or have not seen each other for a long time.
What do you love most about your job?
Making people happy - causing amazement and laughter. Although I draw from the repertoires of the world's best magicians, I really enjoy adapting their magic to my personality and putting my own 'spin' on things - as well as inventing my own original routines. I'm also blessed with the ability to ad lib very well which I very much enjoy doing so I never (I hope) sound scripted. Ad libs and reacting to your audiences nearly always gets the best reactions (as long as you're good at it and, certainly in my case, your ad libs are kind, generous and clean - as well as amusing).
Also enjoy 'customising' my magic whether it is for a bride and groom or for a corporate client where I would make their name and logo appear 'magically' on things and show through magic that they are the best or to promote their current key messages.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Had been doing magic semi-professionally alongside a high-level professional job for a long time. I went full time because I realised that although I had reached a high level in magic, to get the amount of bookings I felt I needed and deserved to keep growing as a performer and an artist, I needed to devote more time to marketing and the business side of things so that those bookings would come in. Plus I have always had a highly individual and entrepreneurial streak which combined with a highly creative nature meant that an office in the end became increasingly to stifling for. Finally, I come from a small business family and so I guess it is in the blood!
Why should our clients choose you?
I like to think that my entertainment skills are as high as my sleight-of-hand skills. This is not always the case with many magicians who are good at 'tricks' but perhaps are not able to be pleasant, engaging and witty/amusing. At upscale events I can draw on a good education & vocabulary appropriately which again marks me out for these types of events. Having said that, coming from humble origins and a state education, I mix with & entertain all walks of life with ease and delight in doing so.
