When we were searching for a Cape Town location for our wedding, we stumbled upon a beautiful photo of a place that captured the charm and whimsy we were looking for. We booked the venue and then noticed that the photograph was taken by Joanne Markland Photography. We quickly looked up her website and I instantly fell in love with her clean and modern style, the gorgeous landscapes, and the fairy tale impressions she was able to create for all those beautiful brides and grooms. I knew immediately that I wanted her to be my wedding photography and it was one of the best decisions I made. Joanne showed up with an assistant on time and I didn't have to wonder if every magical moment was being captured. I could just focus on enjoying the event and building my own memories. I could not be happier with my photos. Every time I look at Joanne's photos from my wedding, I get goose bumps. She photographed me in a way that made me feel like the most beautiful bride in the world that night. We were able to build wonderful memories for our guests as well. Five out of five stars just doesn't seem like enough for Joanne Markland Photography. My husband and I were lucky enough to meet Joanne last year and she photographed our engagement shoot and wedding in April. Thinking back on the day, it's hard to imagine that anyone would be able to capture the magic that we all felt. Joanne not only did just that, but also surprised us with shots that left us in awe of her talent. Joanne is a true professional of an art that she has mastered with precision. "We simply cannot thank Joanne Markland enough for helping to make our wedding day as perfect as it was. The photos Jo took that day were just incredible and far exceeded anything we expected. A couple of our guests have even said they are “by far the best wedding photos they have ever seen”! Jo just blended in with our guests and we hardly noticed she was there at times, and yet she seems to have been in all the right places at the right time, capturing some fantastic memories of our big day! Jo was very professional and knows how to use light to her advantage. Having visited the venue beforehand, Jo knew all the best local locations for our shoots and had it all planned out, and we have some stunning shots of us in the vineyards at sunset.
