I have been antique dealing for over 40 years so am practically an antique myself. My specialities are textiles and tapestries early sculpture and Old Master drawings, very little after 1800 so it is a very specialised market but something that will always hold its value (unlike the modern art big big bubble) I exhibit at antique fairs, Olympia in London taking place June 28th-3rd July and Blenheim in April and often serve on the vetting committee for textiles which means we go round the Fair to see if descriptions of textiles are correct.
