We hired the wedding package (speakers and lights) for a 3 day period. The people at JnS were incredibly helpful, and the gear was very simple to set up. Literally just a case of plugging in the right cables and the lights would flash with the beat of the music. It looked and sounded like a proper disco, minus the DJ! Deadass this place was trash. Tiny portions and if you come with more than 3 people and you share a 4 course, they try to short you on cheese fondue. Service was terrible. Utensils were dirty and the waitress decided to pick off the crusted food from our silverware and expected us to use them. I am not a picky person by any means, but this place is to much to deal with. I expected to spend the money here obviously, but for the price I at least wanted correct service. Ripped off. Even if you ask upfront how the system works, they will not give you a straight answer, but they will give you an enormous bill for very small amount of food. The lighting is so poor you can not tell if the meats are cooked. Server was nice, once you got in, but the reservation only policy (even if you walk in and the place has more than half empty tables) I saw a couple walk in and were almost turned away, but had to make a "reservation" for 30 minutes later. Absolutely loved this place. My Fiance and I had a romantic dinner here.I recommend reserving a table.Our hostess, Soul, was super kind and caring. When she heard we were there for an anniversary, she made a point to sit as at private seating. I didn't ask for it, and I highly appreciate her.Our server, Michelle, took care of us. We ordered the four course meal with an extra entree and extra side. Everything was absolutely delicious, and we had fun! First off, everyone should know that this is a fondue restaurant, so as I was expecting was a belly full type of meal for 60. 00 per person . I was expecting to cook my cheese and fruit but whenever I was brought out raw meat that was only 4//5 pieces of each meat , I was very shocked . Trying to surprise my husband with a good meal and we walked out after eating and going to McDonalds . I feel bamboozled . I was not okay with paying 200 for a meal that was not satisfying at all . I do understand that this place is about the experience but the only thing we really enjoyed was the kale salad and the spiked basil lemonades . The food was bland for the 5 pieces we did get of each meat , you get three things of zucchini's, 2 pieces of squash , asparagus cut into halves . I was expecting to spend the money but for leaving there still hungry and the tip already included , I will not be returning here . It was not very good and for the price I could have went to Ruth's Chris with a table of 4 and a belly full of food for a little less than what I paid . More...

This is such a wonderful, romantic place. Our server, Kaitlynn, was perfect. The food, for the amount, quality and price, was well worth it. JnS provided equipment, setup and sam himself for a recent musical in derby guildhall theatre Oct 2018 for 'All shook Up'. His professionalism and expertise was fantastic! Had to feed a 10 piece band into the auditorium from another room, provided 16 people on stage with head mics. Then stay in control of the whole show from the mixing desk for every performance. The sound was balanced brilliantly that some audience thought they were backing tracks (good band too I have to add). Thanks very much sam. Will be most certainly booking JnS again! More...

Great experience with JnS Sound & Lighting for our wedding in Derbyshire! Sam was GREAT help, lovely guy, and very good value. We hired speakers, mixing desks and microphones + a set of 12 led uplightings and 4 laser lights on T-Bar.
Sam found the best colour for the lights in the barn, and explained to us all the setting modes to change it ourselves at the time of the party. It looks lovely on all our photos thanks to him.
He was very accomodating to our specifities of having two different venues.
Just needed to be chased a little bit before order, because they were very busy, which is easy to understand as they are a company to recommend!! More...

Hired a basic package for my dads 50th birthday at the blessington carriage in Derby Including speakers, lights and a microphone so I could play my own music. JNS sound and lighting delivered the equipment, set it all up for me and showed me how to use it. He then came and picked up the equipment later that night.
