Really can't speak highly enough about the work JMR Roofing did on my house. Had an extremely tricky roof job which im sure most tradesmen would have just walked away from(and Mark prob wished he had lol). Even before starting the actual job proper Mark came round multiple times finding the cause of the problem and then talking through various options(complicated job so no easy options), and again, this was all technically unpaid because we hadn't even agreed on a price yet.The work itself was top notch and done for a very reasonable price. Another job completed to perfection. Two charming young men left me with a terrace a lot cleaner than it was when they started replacing my rusted gutters and repairing a leak on the roof a few weeks ago. JMR Roofing is a “gem of a find”, it has taken me a lot of research and nearly 12 months to find someone to take my job on, as I think it was just too difficult for some other tradesman I contacted. In the end JMR Roofing came as a recommendation from a friend and it’s a recommendation I’ve not regretted. I found JMR Roofing to be, honest, reliable and true professionals. They communicated well with me and turned up when they said they would turn up, they kept me updated with progress and they were very reasonably priced. But I’ve saved the best bit until last, they can actually do the job! Large or small nothing was too much trouble. JMR Roofing are “old school” tradesman who can ”troubleshoot” and think outside the box to find a solution to a problem, they took pride in their work and got it right first time, they would not leave the job until they were fully satisfied with it themselves, a very commendable quality indeed. They also advised me against having some unnecessary work carried out that was not required (which saved me money).I would have no hesitation what so ever in recommending JMR Roofing, other than selfishly part of me wants to keep my “gem of a find” for myself. We were recommended Mark and his team after we had a very high quote for a full roof of rosemary tiles. Mark and his team did the job including a velux window for a very reasonable price. We were extremely pleased with the finished job, they worked very hard to complete the job including working one day in the rain. We liked the way things were handled from the point of view of paying directly to each company when they came with the scaffolding, skips and materials you knew where your money was being spent. Mark also stuck to the price he quoted, they turned up when they said they would and kept us informed of any problems, also gave advice. We received a very competitive quote with a full breakdown in a very timely manner for the slating of a 3 bay garage roof with a hipped end. I've been unfortunate to have several leaking roofs, on two properties, over the last couple of years but fortunate to have Mark on call to repair them. We found his details via the Fife Council trusted traders site, and I'm happy to report the good reviews you read there and here are all true.From a large Lothian cottage, to a Glasgow style tenement and even a flat garage roof. Mark has been quick to visit, investigate the issue and offer a cost effective solution in a non pushy manner - rather than others who didn't even bother to turn up for a quote!Friendly, courteous, tidy (very important!) and passionate about his work - he is happy to take the time to explain in plain language the issue, and will handily take pictures to show you the problem on the ground and explain what he will do to fix it.I hope my days of leaky roofs become less (but living in Scotland in older houses I know they won't go away) but it's good to know that I can call on Mark if I have an issue.
