This is exactly what I was looking for in a photography class. Wanted to learn what all the bells and whistles on my DSLR did, and JJ was able to not only explain what they do, but really going to when you should be doing certain things for certain photos, etc. It's a group class that I took, but you feel as if it's almost one-on-one instruction because the classes aren't that overwhelming. If you're looking for a way to get into photography, and learn all that your camera can do and you can do as a photographer, I highly recommend this class. More...

I am totally enjoying my time spent in Jeremiah's hands on class. Not only is he interesting and educational but has you right out there shooting pictures at different locations each and every class, and he's right there with you to answer any questions and guide you along. Photography! That word in itself has such a huge meaning to all of us who can't get enough of it. It's a passion that grows with each shot you take. I have just ended my first course with Jeremiah. He is a great teacher and the minute you meet him, you realize you are going to learn a lot simply because his passion for teaching is very evident. For anyone who wants to learn how to shoot in manual mode, he's your guy! Jeremiah teaches you how to trust your camera and be creative with your shots. On line instructions don't work for me. Photography as always been a passion of mine. So decided to take a one on one class with Jeremiah. Jeremiah will teach you the skills to be a photographer. Classes are held both in class and out of class. You will learn how to use your camera in manual mode. Manual mode is not scary. With Jeremiah you will learn and grow as a photographer. He will help you to improve. Classes are small and because of this, you get to know the other students. Technical knowledge shared with clarity! Hands on learning at its best. The Intro to Digital Photography class I took was filled with great experiential learning that included fields trips such as City-Scapes at Night, Historical Fort Lauderdale, and lessons on how to create Photographic Abstract Art. Jeremiah always had us moving and practicing the skills and techniques discussed. The level one class was so good I immediately signed up for level two. Am currently plotting a way to get him to do a level three (if he doesn't already have one). Jeremiah Jenner's workshops always inspire creative thinking. He teaches techniques that each participant can use for future photos.
Jeremiah teaches by doing (hands-on) and we typically head outside and really shoot many, many types of subjects, colors, angles, and light (e.g.
starting at 6 p.m. so we could walk a great area by the river shooting the night lights). We covered shots to create abstracts and how to shoot architecture. Jeremiah often has us meet right in his studio and has shown us how to use different types studio lights with a model, and all the equipment recommendations for participants to setup their own environment.

I've taken two classes with him so far. I never used my camera on manuel before, just the "P" setting. My pictures sometime came out alright, but most times they needed correction on Photo Shop. I never use my flash either, just the flash on my camera. So far, I've learned so much about how to use my camera with f-stops and shutter speed, along with the ISO setting, plus using my flash. I feel completely relaxed with his instructions, he is extremely patient and will explain questions, when I'm confused. I love the one on one instructions rather than the class settings so my "teacher" is totally focused on me and my camera. I highly recommend his classes to all. You won't be disappointed. More...

Jeremiah Jenner is everything you want in an awesome instructor. From day one of first level photography, the class was out and about with our cameras. I was continually frustrated with online classes, so much so that I packed my camera away in a closet for almost a year. I was determined to find what worked for me and his classes certainly did this for me. He is super supportive and patient. After the first class I took my camera off auto mode and never went back! He takes his students out on interesting field trips where you learn how to photograph different subjects in various times of the day, learning lighting, composition and getting comfortable with your settings. I went on to complete the second level and participated in workshops. I plan to continue learning with him as his teaching method is so easy to follow and he makes it fun. His motto is one your are his student, you are always his student. I can contact him now with questions and ask for suggestions which he is happy to answer. He is so supportive of his students accomplishments. He has taught me to be creative, which gives me the drive to get out there with my camera whenever I can. Jeremiah Jenner is a great and patient professional photography teacher. My father was a professional photographer and I apprenticed with him on many shoots as a teen. JJ teaches the elements of photography and the appropriate camera settings in a fun comprehensive manner in each class and then our group explores and shoots outdoors. Since everyone's view of the world is different, our photo presentations and discussions open our eyes and minds to new ways to photograph. JJ is also very responsive when we need assistance with camera settings while not in class. I was shooting for our architectural photo shoot and in-class presentation today and needed assistance with settings. I texted and called JJ and he responded immediately.
