Jill Thorpe - Develop Your Dog

We've been working with Jill for almost two years, in both groups and one to one sessions. We find her ongoing advice and support invaluable. It has given a real focus to our dog training and regularly have fun, new exercises to practice. We have learnt so much from Jill and our dog is much better behaved from all we have learnt together. Jill was so helpful with our working German Shepherd - a lovely dog with very little self control!! Jill spent a lot of time with us, learning about Mitzi, and delivered a very thorough report on what changes we could make. She checked in afterwards and was available for any questions or follow up. Jill is a brilliant teacher. She is calm and extremely understanding. She demystifies the often very confusing behaviours of your dog, and the copious different advices you get from other sources. What Jill shows you makes everything simpler and so much clearer. In one session you will see the difference in your dog.
Mine, Roxie is a very wilful 1 year old working cocker spaniel. She's very bright and quick to learn but also has a mind of her own which has been challenging! Jill explains why Roxie does what she does and knows exactly how to correct and improve behaviour. Roxie needs guidance, but more importantly, I do! And I feel so much more confident thanks to Jill's encouragement and the tools she has given me to train Roxie so that she's fulfilled and content and then, so am I! More...

Jill came and did an initial home visit when my beagle puppy was 10 weeks old she spent several hours with us and provided a report detailing everything we discussed about training. The visit gave me confidence that I was doing the right things and provided pointers, tips and training drills. I then attended an initial 'Mind Your Manners' Course followed by a further following up course and now Gun Dog Training. My time spent with Jill has really helped me understand what I'm doing right and what I need to correct. My confidence is continuing to grow under Jill's training and I can see improvements in Daisy's obedience which is not an easy task being as strong willed as she is.Jill has a fantastic approach and relationship with dogs and owners and I would highly recommend her to anyone with a dog at any stage.
