Q&As

Bring unloved and unused spaces back to life, and reconnecting clients with the outdoors. I also love finding new and interesting ways to use materials and plants, and keeping up to date with current trends and innovations in garden design.

A love of being muddy and outside as much as possible! A desire to work in an environmentally conscientious way, whilst also working creatively, alongside other people.

A personalised approach: After an initial consultation, I will work for a fixed fee until clients are 100% happy with their design, and are ready for the landscapers to begin. I then offer follow up services, project managing implementation of the design if required.

Services

A thoughtful and dynamic design process, including mood boards, layout plans and 3D visuals leads to the completion of a complete garden design including layout, hard landscaping, features and planting.

Working with the existing layout of a garden and considering it's aspect and conditions, a plant palette is created. From this, a planting plan is then created, mapping the number and position of the plants in the garden. I can also arrange ordering and delivery of the plants, and carry out the planting if required.

With increasing numbers of gardens being turned into space off-street parking, we are losing a large number of little green pockets from our cities. This has an impact on the diversity of an area, and also increases the chance of flash flooding in urban areas. However, there are a number of design solutions that can be implemented to develop front gardens with sustainability in mind, including creating water permeable driveways, and including hardy planting schemes.

Working either weekly, bi weekly for monthly, I schedule regular maintenance visits to gardens to care for your plants, lawns and soil.

I can work with you to manage the planting to create seasonal interest, and order plants from trade nurseries at affordable prices to top up your borders.
