In the past, I’ve looked at photos of myself & thought, “Who is that? She doesn’t look like me.” I’ve always been uncomfortable having my picture taken and Jessica created an environment that allowed me to relax & enjoy the ride while she tended to the details, framed the shots & mastered the light. Jessica took on the difficult task of capturing three generations of our family in multiple group settings. She selected a wonderful nature park in Wilmette with fabulous backgrounds. Several family members were apprehensive, including my grandson, who ALWAYS avoids photos. Jessica solved that instantly by appointing him as her assistant for holding flash equipment, etc. It was all downhill after that. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves throughout the entire shoot. Better yet, her photos were really, really great. They were varied and exciting and managed to draw out the personalities of those involved. Jessica photographed my daughter and our family before her Bat Mitzvah. She is absolutely delightful and a pleasure to work with. The pictures are wonderful and Jessica was creative and opportunistic when getting shots. The outdoor pictures, in particular, are gorgeous. The only reason for the four stars rather than five has to do with the lighting challenges inside of the building, which created a much trickier environment. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
When people feel comfortable in their surroundings, it shows on their faces. I take pride in putting my clients at ease so they can be their very best, most authentic selves in front of the camera.
What do you love most about your job?
I cherish the opportunity to immerse myself within a family for a few hours, getting to know them, seeing how they engage with one another, and ultimately capturing a moment in time that leads to a treasured family keepsake.
Why should our clients choose you?
My passion is using my camera to help others look and feel their best during our session together. My goal is to create a fun, stress-free experience for families, the end result of which is a treasured keepsake they'll enjoy for many years to come. The fact that I'm an organized communicator makes the experience that much more enjoyable for today's busy parents.
