My name is Jess. I am a photographer based in Nottingham. In a nutshell I love, animals, tea, adventure and cozy evenings in front of the fire with a film.
I love to capture moments that tell your love story. I love to have fun and my style is relaxed, capturing authentic moments from the big to the small and everything in-between.

Literally cannot recommend Jess enough! Her work is absolutely incredible. She was amazing with my dog and had the best ideas for photos. She made us feel natural and not posed. And I genuinely forgot at times we were at a shoot it was that amazing. Her work speaks for itself, we have just received our gallery and I’m in absolute awe. We loved meeting Jess and her Pup echo! We had a shoot with Jessica in August. Cookie loved Jessica immediately, she made her feel very comfortable in front of the camera. Cookie really enjoyed herself and Jessica was able to capture this in the photographs taken. We are over the moon with them. Absolutely wonderful photographer! Really kind, considerate and extremely patient. Super accommodating and down to earth. My cat can be wary of strangers outdoors but during our session he wanted to follow, sit with and even be stroked by Jessica more so than myself . As a mother of 4, I often struggle to capture my children and their unique and different personalities in photographs. Our photo shoot with Jessica Coates photography made it feel so easy! We just went down to the woods to play and these beautiful pictures are the result - it was very effortless and non imposing for my kids - they just felt that they were having a fun afternoon and I as their mum could enjoy it, knowing that for once it wasn’t my job to take pictures of the days adventure. The photos are ‘just them’ completely and the children have loved looking at them too. I will treasure them.
