When my husband and I were first engaged, we were overwhelmed by all of the huge decisions we had to make regarding our wedding. The absolute easiest decision we made was hiring Jesse and Gena as our photographers. We had experienced quite a few weddings with them in the past and I always knew they would be the ones to shoot our wedding. They made the entire process so easy! Both Gena and Jesse shot our wedding in September, Gena working with the girls and Jesse with the guys. I was impressed from the very beginning, they had arrived early to the venue and drove around scoping out potential areas for shots. Gena and Jesse both seem to work so effortlessly and make the experience fun for everyone! They are so personable and easy to get along with, and work well with kids and pets! They were truly wonderful at capturing posed and candid shots that will last a lifetime! I cannot thank them enough for the beautiful memories we have thanks to their hard work. We LOVE our photos and would 100% book them again if we had to do everything over again. I also wanted to add that we decided to book the BAM Social Photo Booth for our reception and it was the most fun photo booth I’ve ever experienced! Our guests were using it the entire night and it was so fun to look at all the of the funny photos and gifs the morning after the wedding! WOW!I reached out to Jesse & Gena to do my wedding photos because I loved the feelings they captured in their photos. I had the opportunity to work with Gena, and I could not be more pleased. By the end of our first phone call to discuss the wedding and timeline, I felt like I had made a friend. Gena was such a fun, kindhearted, but professional person and I knew I was in great hands and that she would get me exactly what I wanted captured from my big day. Ceremony day I was a little stressed, like any bride hoping her day goes perfectly. Gena's calm professionalism put me right at ease. She has a way of directing and posing that made everyone feel so comfortable, and made my pictures look amazing! I also want to mention that my wedding was in a dark venue, with little overhead lighting, but had several large windows (I would imagine making lighting very tricky for shooting balanced photos), but the photos turned out PERFECTLY. Clearly, Gena knew exactly what needed to be done. Her eye for detail was so appreciated by myself and my mom. Fixing my hair and dress were just a few of the things she did to make my pictures turn out great. I would 1000% recommend these photographers. I hope to find an excuse to see them again soon! I've known Gena since we were kids. She Truly is one of the most genuine people I know and has always been creative and artistic. Who she is as an amazing person and friend is reflective in her work as a photographer. With Jesse, they are the perfect duo. He is always able to make my three children laugh (actually, all of us!) and capture their true characters. These two pour their heart and soul into their work and it shows. My wife and I love Jesse and Gena! Amazing people and fantastic photos!!! My wife and I couldn't have been happier. Jesse and Gena were fun, professional, and a pleasure to work with. Everyone in our family raved about them as well. The photos were phenomenal! They captured beautiful candid moments, gorgeous formal photos, fun group shots, touching prep photos, and studio-worthy still-life photos of decorations and details. The photos were ready for us in 2 months, and they were worth the wait. You could tell the photos were crafted with care and artistry (which takes time). These photos are meant for generations to come, so when viewed from the perspective, it was a short time to wait. I would recommended them to anyone who is willing to listen. My husband and I feel so lucky to have found Jesse and Gena several years ago when we were looking for a photographer for our engagement photos! I was nervous that it would be awkward, but they are so down to earth and made us laugh constantly! Our engagement pictures were perfect! They worked hard to get some pictures with our wild little dog, and also took a few extras of him playing. They always go above and beyond! When it came time for our wedding pictures, we were so happy to have Jesse and Gena travel to Napa, California to capture our wedding day! I never would have imagined that being a possibility, but they really worked with us and we were thrilled that it worked out! They captured some photos of the landscape in California, again going above and beyond with little extras. They worked with our wedding coordinator to make our day absolutely perfect, and of course the pictures are amazing!! Most recently, Jesse and Gena took pictures of our growing little family. We now have a 9 month old, and they took wonderful family photos for us! We were outside, it was cold and windy...but they managed to give us great shots! I can't say enough about them - they are both hilarious, which I now realize how important of a quality that is in your photographers. Gena always makes sure the girly touches are right (hair is laying how it should, lipstick is refreshed, etc). She will also hold your lipstick or do whatever she can to make things go smoothly. Jesse will do absolutely whatever it takes to get a perfect shot! He is always watching and snapping, even when you aren't expecting it These 2 feel more like friends after just a few times working together, and my husband and I look forward to having them capture many more memories in the years to come! I met Jesse & Gena when they photographed a friend's wedding. Based on that experience (and seeing their great work), they were the first people I reached out to about photography for my own wedding years later. We had a great time working with them. They were happy to accommodate our requests, but needed very little instruction/direction, which was a relief given all the other decisions we had to make about the big day. They kept us on schedule, but made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed during the process. I've been repeating their jokes ever since!We were so excited when we saw the final results. They gave us a great selection of beautiful photographs to choose from. Jesse & Gena Photography is absolutely amazing!! Gena took our engagement pictures last fall and was so awesome to work with. She went above and beyond to capture our engagement photo's and was so accommodating in making sure we got all the shots we wanted. Leading up to the wedding I had a million questions and Gena was always willing to help in anyway she could. They helped make the entire wedding day run so smoothly and were so organized with the very helpful timeline they provided us. Wow! Our pictures are way better than I could have ever imagined. I'm so happy we had you there to capture these moments. You two are so talented . I've shared the pictures with family and friends and they all say the same thing (after the tears stop flowing) - "Gorgeous photos that take me back to that wonderful day".I love the non-posed shots taken while we were getting ready. You can feel the emotion and anticipation in the photos. The photos with my sisters are just what I wanted. You even captured one of their bracelets that I gave them that were engraved with "EARS" (our initials). I didn't even remember to tell you I wanted one but of course you captured it. The photos in the lane were genius on your part and honestly, they should be in a magazine. (You wouldn't believe how many people said these are magazine worthy.) That lane and woods hold so many childhood memories for us and it was awesome how you knew to put us right there and capture some of the best pictures. I can't thank you enough. I'm feel so lucky to have my most important wedding "vendor" go so extremely well. Again, these are better than I dreamt them being when we decided to get married in Ireland/Jasper because "I wanted pictures at my childhood home". A DEFINITE HIRE, HANDS DOWN!!! Stop looking for other photographers because these two rock!!!! Jesse and Gena photographed my engagement and wedding photography. From day one my experience with them was awesome! Their communication was very prompt, they're very professional, and their work is incredible. Our first shoot with them was our engagement photos. One thing my husband really liked about them was their dynamics working together. They are super fun, which helped my husband relax and enjoy the photography session. They coached us when taking pictures so we knew where to look, put our hands, and explained how to pose. They made us feel comfortable, which is so important because that shows in the photography. We absolutely loved working with them and HIGHLY recommend them!!!!! Something else that I think is noteworthy.... I was very particular with what I wanted my photos to look like. Gena was who I mostly communicated with and when we spoke, I would always throw my ideas out there. She always listened and was open to all of my suggestions. The week of my wedding I sent them a long email with some "must have" pictures that I found on Pinterest. They captured every moment without missing a beat. They are extremely talented and have a professional eye for photography. When they sent my images two months later, I was beyond excited! The pictures tell a story and most importantly capture the love (and fun) shared from our wedding. If you hire them I promise you, you will not be disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!
