Reply from Jenny West Hypnotherapy
With thanks for your kind comments. Yes, I am reminded daily of how Hypnotherapy empowers people to discover and develop strengths in themselves they didn’t know they had, and the consequences in people’s lives are often nothing short of extraordinary.
What do you love most about your job?
Hypnotherapy is very often transformational to people and their lives and helping to make that difference is very rewarding.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started a travel business in 2005 and eventually sold it in 2013. It was very successful and I found the most rewarding aspect was helping our new recruits. I worked with a hypnotherapist who helped some of our team to overcome any personal barriers to success After having hypnotherapy myself for a spider phobia, I was inspired to combine these two areas myself.
Why should our clients choose you?
I love my job and am dedicated to helping you to have a very positive experience of hypnotherapy. I am a registered Hypnotherapist and trained with the UK College of Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy.
Hypnotherapy for Fears and Phobias
Sufferers usually know that their fear is irrational, but it cannot be controlled.
Phobias are more pronounced than fears and are extremely common type of anxiety disorder defined by a persistent fear of a situation or object.
Phobias can be divided into two key categories i.e. specific (simple) phobias such as heights, dentist, injections, spiders etc. or more complete phobias such as agoraphobia and social phobia.
There is no single cause, but phobias can be:
• Associated with a trauma or incident
• A learned response developed early in life from a parent or sibling
Most people with a phobia are fully aware of the problem and can choose to live with it. However, by taking great care to avoid the situation or object, will often make the situation worse. Hypnotherapy can help to:
• Identify the root cause
• Diminish the effect by desensitizing
• Form new relaxed and calm behaviour patterns
