The work Jenny did on our wedding pictures was absolutely incredible. The story of our day absolutely epitomizes Jenny’s willingness to make sure our day was perfect and her professionalism. On the day of our wedding it was raining, not ideal for an outdoor wedding, and Jenny was there every step of the way from offering a new location to try, transporting us there and adapting on the fly. We eventually got to a new location and the weather was clear and it worked out perfectly! The photos are stunning and she was able to capture the sunset lighting we wanted as well as utilize the surrounding environment to take some truly spectacular photos. Jenny was AMAZING to work with!! She did a beautiful maternity session for us in Honolua Bay and then later at the beach. She was enthusiastic and easy going from the start . She's was so patient during the actual shoot, making sure every strand of hair was in place and that we got plenty of coverage. The pictures came out beautifully and she gave us SO many options! My family flew in from the Bay Area and I booked with Jenny ahead of time based on a family member who’d had photos done. She was very responsive up to and after our session . The photos and moments she captured were authentic and amazing. My advice: don’t limit your prints....it took me two weeks to decide to take them all!! My husband and I chose Maui for our honey moon destination. I am picky so I spent a lot of time researching a great photographer for our honey moon photo shooting. Jenny caught my eye immediately. I love the pictures on her blog so much. I am obsessed with her photographing styles. So I texted her to book a sunset session with her. Jenny is super sweet, super nice, super patient and easy going. She took amazing honeymoon pictures for us. She captured the best moments of us in the pictures. I don't know where to start.  5 months in to the date we confirmed our Maui vacation, I began to browse for a wedding/family photographer to document my 10 year anniversary.  My cousin actually recommended her wedding photographer based in Oahu but she was already committed to a wedding.  That photographer recommended two Maui based photographers but one of the two had already committed to a wedding also and the other took almost 2 weeks to reply to my inquiry.  So I started my research on the internet and stumbled upon Jenny's work just by simply Googling "maui photographer and anniversary".  I saw her name pull up on a Facebook review and one of the testimonials recommended to see more of her work on Instagram.  I was blown away by her work and fell in love with what her eyes captured....beauty.  I was looking for a skilled yet fun photographer to not only document my 10 year wedding anniversary but to also work well with two young, antsy kids.  I needed someone who was fast on their feet to capture those emotions and for photos to look natural instead of rehearsed.  I emailed her not expecting the turn around to be within 24 hours because we all know this is Hawaii we are talking about and people take their time there.  To my surprise, Jenny emailed right away and she continued to reply to my emails with all my questions.  At one point, I was considering renewal wedding and she recommended vendors she's worked with.  She was patient as I went back and forth with the wedding renewal idea.  I finalized my decision to do a family/anniversary photo session documenting our milestone.  This was a span of almost three weeks communicating.  In the end, I sealed the deal and put down my payment to secure the photo session date.  Prior to our flight, Jenny and I kept in touch and planned that when my family and I landed in Maui to text her when we arrived.  She sent me an informative email two days before our photo shoot.  It was basically some tips in preparation for the photo shoot.  I told Jenny I wanted a morning session photo shoot and she suggested 7am right before sun was fully out and it starts to warm up.  I wanted to have my kids match outfits and she suggested places to shop for them.  We went with her suggestion and found the matching outfits we wanted.  Not to mention they are sold everywhere!Day of photo shoot, we arrive at the location...Palauea Beach near Wailea.  It was beautiful and away from the touristy area.  I text her and tells me to continue to walk into the sand area of the beach and soon enough we meet.  With the numerous back and forth email exchange, I was looking forward to finally meeting her in person.  I wanted to reach out and hug her but I hesitated as I didn't feel that energy from her.  We talk a little about where she originally is from and we happen to be both from California.  It was great to spend some time getting to know her so we can warm up to her.  She is soft spoken and very professional.  She was gentle with how she spoke to the kids.  They responded well to her.  What I love is Hawaii is already beautiful and laid back, we really just enjoyed being us behind the camera.  As we were ending our photo session, we talked a little more and Jenny admitted that she doesn't like to give hugs (as much as she likes to) as some of her experience with clients aren't comfortable with that.  We are huggers so we were able to give a warm (hug) exchange of appreciation.  Nevertheless, she is very respectful with regards to space.  As she continued to shoot, I knew the results of the photo shoot wouldn't disappoint.  And my feeling was right!  Jenny has a variety of packages to choose from.  It was only supposed to be a 30 minute photo shoot but was extended a bit more because we were having so much fun and she was enjoying shooting us.We received a preview of our photo shoot posted in her blog.  It was a teaser and both my husband and I were extremely happy with the outcome.  We were very eager to see the final results.  It takes about a month for the final proofs to be ready.  When Jenny sent us the link to view, we loved all 100+ photos!  She captured the moment, our emotions!  Even our children pushed for me to purchase all the photos and so happy I did because I have them all in my possession.  I enjoy being able to look back at these photos as it was definitely a wonderful , memorable experience!  If you plan to vacation in Maui and need a photographer for a family, wedding, maternity, renewal, anniversary photo session like us.....CONTACT JENNY VARGAS!  We are so happy to do business with her and because our experience with Jenny is outstanding, we will use her again when we return to Maui!  Thank you so much Jenny! We absolutely loved our experience with Jenny Vargas Photography. We did a sunset maternity session, and it was amazing! We planned out babymoon in Maui, and decided to do photos after some research led us to Jenny’s perfect style. We contacted her, and she was professional and friendly, and booking our session was easy. Communication throughout was also great. When we finally got to meet Jenny, she made the evening such a pleasant experience. She is such a sweetheart, and really captures your unique personalities and dynamics. I was very impressed with how our pictures turned out. It was our very first family professional photos and it was jus beautiful! I think that Jenny did an amazing job. She had a lot of patience with me and my son, especially when he was being fussy and not really wanting to take the photos. In the end though she was able to capture amazing pictures of my son Aidan in the water. I'm very satisfied with the results, and I'm more then likely going back to her for our family portraits. I recommended her to my friends and family because I'm more then sure they'll be happy with the outcome. Yes it's a little expensive but I honestly think it's worth the price. I found Jenny through Instagram and she did not disappoint. She did an amazing job shooting our multi-generational family photo session with 12 people – four families in all! We visited Maui in early August, and booking her services was very easy. All her info is online, her pricing is very reasonable, and she responded to all my questions in a timely manner. She chose a location less than 10 minutes from where we were staying and was very proficient in getting all the shots we wanted and then some. We are amazed by all of the epic photos that Jenny just delivered from our honeymoon session! We were planning our honeymoon in Maui and the idea came up of doing a photo session since it is so beautiful there. After going online to look at Maui photographers we were drawn to Jenny’s gorgeous style. We contacted her via the website and booking our session was easy. When the session came and we finally met, Jenny was easy-going and a total sweetheart! She went out of her way to make sure we got the beach sunset photos we had hoped for! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING my husband and I were so amazed we hope for 4 nice photos and we actually had a hard time just choosing and ended up with 21 . Our photo session was so fun and exciting.
