As a psychotherapist for more than two decades, my goal has been to help people, just like you, gain the tools they need to overcome the obstacles standing in the way of their happiness. I would best describe myself as an expert in the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. CBT, is an “active” form of therapy aimed at helping people feel empowered and in the “driver’s seat” of their own lives by learning how to change both their negative thinking and behaviors. Sessions and homework focus on challenging and reframing self talk, that “little voice” that we all hear, that when left unchecked, leads to the anxiety/panic, depression or emotional distress we feel. In addition, sessions also take aim at changing unhealthy or even toxic behaviors that keep us trapped in this vicious negative cycle.
