CBT, is an “active” form of therapy aimed at helping people feel empowered and in the “driver’s seat” of their own lives by learning how to change both their negative thinking and behaviors. Sessions and homework focus on challenging and reframing self talk, that “little voice” that we all hear, that when left unchecked, leads to the anxiety/panic, depression or emotional distress we feel. In addition, sessions also take aim at changing unhealthy or even toxic behaviors that keep us trapped in this vicious negative cycle.
