When it comes to weddings I love the journalistic style, blending in with the wedding couple, family and guests. Being unobtrusive and let the day unfold naturally whilst making sure I capture the signature moments. I strive to tell the complete story of a very special day from pre-wedding preparations to the festivities in the evening.
Having come here from The Netherlands I find myself surrounded by the most beautiful scenery and locations so as far as wedding portraits are concerned the inspiration is endless. For family shoots this beautiful landscape is my favourite backdrop. I am not a studio photographer, for family and pre-wedding shoots I like to go out to your favourite spot and photograph you in a location where you are totally at ease.
I invite you to take a look at my work at www.jeffpardoen.com, my blog: http://jeffpardoenphotography.blogspot.co.uk/ or my Facebook page www.facebook.com/jeffpardoenphotography. I have come from a graphic design/photography background and have done that combination for 15 years in The Netherlands. One of our studios biggest clients was the regional newspaper that was based in the same building. I did a lot of photography for the newspaper, that is where my interest for documentary photography comes from. I like to apply the same shooting style to my wedding photography.
The formal portraits understandably involve some degree of posing but for the most part I would like you to feel completely free during your special day without you being conscious of me being ‘in your face’ constantly.

Company Q&A
What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Stay sharp, keep a good look out for special moments unfolding and being able to adequately post-process the photograph to enhance the atmosphere.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What do you have in mind regarding the pictures and how can I help you realise that vision?
What do you love most about your job?
Working with all different kinds of people. The variety of the venues and not to forget, getting to know the people via informal pre-wedding shoots which is also great. Weddings are the most fun, you have to be absolutely in the zone and perform on the top of your abilities.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted to lift my photography to a new level. It always was second place to my work as a Graphic Designer but I wanted to focus all my attention to Photography and I haven't regretted it for a moment!
Why should our clients choose you?
I know what I am doing and I do it in a modest way. Wedding photography is about the couple and their wishes and not about the photographer. I like to stay in the background and capture moments preferably without people realising I am around. I am polite and know my place during a wedding and that is capturing moments without being in people's faces constantly.
