We are thrilled with our new master bathroom and John and his team worked diligently to bring our vision to fruition. Dave and Jason were a pleasure to have in our home and we would welcome them back anytime even just for a coffee.
All three have wicked senses of humour which was an added bonus during these difficult times. Would we highly recommend and use JD Restoration & Construction again - that is a huge yes!

John was very professional right from the start. Unlike other contractors, John gets back to you and takes the time to answer your questions (and we had lots as it was our first major renovation project). He's the main point of contact throughout the entire project. We had Dave as our main contractor and what an absolutely fantastic and knowledgeable individual!! He "saved" us from a few problems like crooked ceilings and tile layout that could have been disastrous to the final look of the project. He even took the time to draw out the individual tiles on our wall to make us "see" what it would look like. He was very easy to work with and always left the place clean and tidy at the end of the day. Near the end of our project we had a few outstanding items and this is what worried me the most as I'd heard horror stories about contractors not coming back for months (or ever) to complete the job...but not John and his crew!! They were back and completed the job without issue. John's quotes are gold - we paid what he quoted and he didn't "nickel and dime" for extras. While the initial timeline of two weeks was not met, it was worth the wait to have things done right and we told him that up front. I'd definitely recommend JD Restoration & Construction to anyone and will use him and his crew on future renovation projects. More...

John from JD Construction is amazing. I hired a contractor that left me after demolishing my kitchen, took my money and never came back. As busy as John was he made a point of starting on my kitchen within a day of me hiring him and always dealt with my crazy questions with patience and understanding. They were always easy to talk to if I had any questions and they would explain everything so I was clear as to what steps would be taken next. Their finishing work was excellent. Had an issue with water leaking to one corner of our family room and John came right away to assess the problem and took immediate steps to correct it. John gave us some great suggestions and love our new floor to ceiling fireplace with built ins, new bar area and pot lights. His team is professional, friendly, efficient and on track with time line. We had three previous quotes completed (two of which were grossly over priced) and one person said that he would have to cut a hole in our living room wall to have the tub brought in. John and his team did an amazing job and were quick, as well as efficient. They are personable, on time each morning, and cleaned the work area before they left every night. We are very pleased with the professional workmanship and attitude of John and his staff. They worked on our renovations for the kitchen, bathroom, hallway, heating bulkheads and laundry area. They showed up when they said they would and didn't leave our job to work on other jobs, as we have experienced with other contractors. They worked within the budget and if there were any overages they were discussed with us. They care about the quality of their work and want the customer to be happy with the outcome. JD Restoration finished our basement for us and tiled our backsplash. The staff was always on time, friendly and meticulous. Their attention to detail was on point. John was always reachable and very knowledgeable. He came with lots of suggestions on how to make the basement feel warm and cozy, managed to hide all our randomly placed bulkheads for a nice clean look without making the basement dark by lowering the ceilings excessively. He even creatively came up with the idea to put a tunnel under the stairs for our kids to hide and play in - no wasted space here! The space was always cleaned up at the end of the night. We hired JD a restoration to renovate our basement. We had concerns with some pre-exsisting leaks and new placement of water pipes. The job wasn’t small and was executed with ease. Half the problem with contractors/trades is lack of communication and workers showing up. We didn’t have this issue. If they made a mistake they owned it and he and his team won my trust very early in the project. They get 10 out of ten for quality, scheduling and dealing with homeowners who are not experienced at this. The renovation is amazing. I can't believe what a great job they did. We chose them because they had previously performed some restoration work for us after a flood and we were extremely pleased with the results.John and his crew did not disappoint! Our master now looks like it could be in House and Home magazine! They were professional and courteous and brought our vision to life.
Everyone knows that major renovations will have some minor setbacks, what made this experience different is that ours were all completely resolved to our extreme satisfaction with personal attention from John.When we upgrade the rest of our house (and now we have to because it looks so dated compared to our modern spa bathrooms!) we will be sure to call John and his team.
