I set JD Accountancy Service up in January 2010. Talking to several small businesses in the area, they didn't want to employ a member of staff full time to complete their accounts and payroll, they also didn't like doing it at night when they should be enjoying their free time.

Bookkeeping to Trial Balance, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Bank Reconciliations, Monthly Management Accounts, EC Sales Lists, VAT Returns, CIS Returns, Payroll, Sole Trader Accounts, Self Assessment Tax Returns, Paying Suppliers and more.
Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
Piece of mind that the finances are accurately completed and everything that needs to be submitted to HMRC, etc is completed on time, thus causing you no headaches.
What do you love most about your job?
The variety of work, as no two businesses are the same.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have worked in accountancy all my life, but when cancer struck in 2006. It gave my an opportunity to re-assess. I thought could I do it on my own, with the support of my husband and if it doesn't work, I'll get a job, I started my business in January 2010. Now in 2018 I am still going and have no intention of giving up soon.
