Q&As

For me there are a few, as follows.

Time - It is highly important to take a moment when on location to think about where the camera should be placed, what lens to use and what lighting to take advantage of to achieve the desired look/effect from the image.

Preparation - Being prepared goes hand-in-hand with taking time to plan a shoot. This allows everybody involved to know what is happening and their role to ensure a smooth operation with the best possible outcome.

Communication - As stated in the above point, everyone knowing what they have to do helps to achieve the goal whether they are behind the scenes or as a subject. Poor communication inhibits this and can cause unwanted and avoidable issues.

I like to get as much information from the client as I can in regard to their expectations to ensure a smooth operation. Alternatively, if the client is unsure on their goals then I like to come up with some ideas, discuss these with the client and build a plan with them.

First off is working with camera equipment. Technology is something I have always been passionate for and camera equipment requires hands on work with that technology all the time.
Secondly, I have enjoyed camera work for many years as I find there to be a great feeling of accomplishment when I produce an image or video that can capture imagination, entertain or portray emotion effectively.
However, I primarily enjoy the opportunities that come with the work. I meet new people all the time with various personalities and qualities with portrait photography. I enjoy the time outdoors being witness to breathtaking views and scenes with landscapes, and being able to flex my creativity is a privilege in a typically 9 to 5 society.

As mentioned in the above section, being able to use my creativity to manufacture eye pleasing or thought provoking visual content that has the potential to reach vast audiences is a commodity I desire and the freedom that comes with self employment suits my lifestyle.

I am highly enthusiastic for my craft and always wanting to learn and improve wherever I can, I can bring many fresh ideas to the table and I have the drive to perfect the end product for my clients to the best of my ability.
