It’s hard to believe almost a year has gone by since we got married! Looking back at all the happy memories of that day, we are forever grateful for Julia’s expertise in ensuring that the day was a beautiful success. Even though we had a small wedding, there were so many decisions to make that we would have been lost without her. She taught us what to expect, helped stay on top of all the planning, and was readily available to answer any of our questions. She even came up with a detailed day of schedule for us and our vendors to follow. The day of, Julia was wonderful in making sure the venue was decorated (after she had picked up our decorations the day before to take with her), made sure vendors arrived on time and were paid, and most importantly kept everything to the schedule she had worked with us to set up. Not to mention that the day would have been cut short if not for her quick assistance! Two days before the wedding we were informed that all county parks (which included our venue) would be shutting down at 5pm the day of our wedding, nearly cutting our reception in half. First thing we did was call Julia and she kept us calm while taking charge of calling our vendors to see if everyone could bump up the start time. Success! After changing the wedding planner and day-of coordinator multiple times at our venue, my partner and I ended up with Julia and could not have been happier.
Julia was present throughout the entire event and knew our wants and desires without us even having to ask! Our day would not have been the same without Julia. Although we did not see her for the majority of the event, she was in the background making our dreams become a reality. Multiple times we simply thought of something and never verbalized it, but it showed up! Her eye for detail, caring nature, and understanding of her clients would make anyones day fantastic. What do you love most about your job?
I think the best part of this job is listening to your client describe their idea of a dream event and then having the opportunity to bring it to life through hard work and collaboration. There is nothing like seeing a concept on paper become a reality. . there is something magical about it.
What inspired you to start your own business?
In 2019, I became a new mommy to my daughter Cecilia and I decided to take my business from part-time to full steam ahead! Working and creating my own schedule has been such a blessing. I can still do what I am passionate about without sacrificing too much time away from my family. Having this freedom also allows me to give each client almost everything they want without the restrictions some big companies may face.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have been working in the hospitality industry for the past ten years in various roles ranging from restaurant server to restaurant manager, to venue sales team member to Director of Event Operations for an event venue in Central Maryland where I oversaw weddings, corporate events, and smaller specialty events.
