Janus photography

When you live in Scotland but your wedding is in Warwickshire selecting a photographer is always going to be challenging. Sue and I scoured the internet looking for photographers in the Kenilworth area but that was only a tiny part of the challenge . You want your wedding photographs to capture so many things; the venue, the atmosphere, the personalities of all those present and the love that you both feel for each other. Janus Photography managed all of that with only one meeting over a drink in pub garden adjacent to our venue, Kenilworth Castle, on a beautiful spring morning. Sue and I were completely overwhelmed by the quality of the moments captured and the joy on the faces of both us and our guests. What a wonderful selection of photos Jane took for us on our wedding day! From the start she was extremely helpful, giving us tips on how the day could be conducted, which was a godsend given our busy working schedules. It was good to have so many ideas presented to us from the vast amount of experience that she has from other weddings.We felt extremely comfortable with Jane and she went around the wedding in those quieter times without us even knowing she was there whilst capturing the most amazing shots.Jane was also kind enough to film the speeches for us so that we were able to remember every moment of this, without having to pay out for a videographer!Everyone at the wedding loved her direct nature - her main aim to ensure that group shots were done in a timely manner so the rest of the day could be enjoyed by all!We received some samples of the shots via DropBox before them all being provided which was great. I have used Janus Photography a few times. When used for photo's for my modelling portfolio I found them to be highly professional, advice and guidance was offered during my shoot, the outcome was professional high quality photo's that I am still using in my portfolio now. Jane was recommended to us by a friend and we had no hesitation on booking her to take our wedding photographs after we had seen her work. <br /><br />We met with Jane on many occasions before our wedding and were very impressed how she took time to discuss the style of photos we wanted and to look around the venues for ideas of photo settings.<br /><br />By the time our wedding day came we felt we knew Jane<span id="moreReview195994" class="hide"> and she us. Because of this, Jane was able to photograph our day not only with the shots we had requested but she also managed to capture the essence of us as a couple with our friends and family. <br /><br />We selected to have two photographers as this allowed us not to miss out on any part of the day. We were really pleased with Janus- we had regular contact leading up to the Wedding, and on the day they were fantastic. <br /><br />Many of our guests were very impressed- with their professionalism, and also how unobtrusive they were throughout the day. <br /><br />The results are exactly the type of photos we wanted- a mixture of some formal pictures, and a lot of informal images that really captured the<span id="moreReview138830" class="hide"> feel of the day.<br /><br />It is particularly good to have all the images on CD to use as we want. Janus Photography took our wedding photographs. They provided an excellent service - both before and during the day, taking the time to go through exactly what we wanted and visit the church and reception venue with us to agree locations for particular shots. They captured they day really beautifully, from smaller details like the shoes, flowers to lovely relaxed and informal portraits and<span id="moreReview96996" class="hide"> group shots of friends and family. The photographers on the day were a pleasure to have around - extremely friendly, putting you at ease (important for two people who generally don't like having their photos taken!) but they were always discreet and never felt they were on top of you. I used Janus Photography for some portraits of my daughter for my wife's 40th birthday. The service, quality and creativity were so good we asked them back to do some of the 40th party. Janus captured the atmosphere brilliantly of the night and we did not even realise they were there. We now have superb pictures that will stay with us forever.

We asked Janus Photography to do a variety of shots for our hair extensions business, using a selection of models and clothing/hairstyles. To my amazement Jane (the photographer) brought along a range of clothes to help create the image we wanted to portrait, which was obviously over and above my expectations.
