Janelle Varada For Beverly Hills Hair

I waited a few weeks to write this review as it takes a few weeks for my hair to show it's true colors sort of speak after getting highlights.  I am really blown away by the fact that my hair remains healthier than before I went blonde with her.  She also gave me exactly what I wanted, a soft natural blonde, and removed all the ugly brassiness I had in my roots.  What I love the most about Janelle is that she truly cares about her clients, she is not just doing her job but she takes all the extra steps to ensure the health and longevity of your hair.  I can't emphasize enough that you are in excellent hands under her care.  Looking forward to my next appointment in two months.  Thank you so much Janelle! I have been getting Janelle's unique brazilian blowout (*NOT the brand Brazilian Blowout) for the past 10 years.  She has the most amazing formula/technique and it produces perfect results.  My hair is smooth, silky and most importantly, manageable every time I leave her chair.  It cuts blow drying time in half, or I can let it air dry with no frizz...I can't say enough good things about this treatment!  Its worth every penny and as a bonus, Janelle is a truly wonderful person! I found Janelle here on Yelp! My ten year old son had convinced me to color my hair green with him for fun! Used semi permanent color from CVS and it did not come out! Janelle is exactly what I needed to look and feel fabulous again! She is so good at her craft from years of experience, and her beautiful soul and warm, welcoming vibe is an added bonus. I met Janelle about a year ago when she became my client through my business California HandyGirl. I already had a hairdresser at the time, but after going to him for the last 5 years, I became unsatisfied with my last couple of haircuts. She's lovely! My regular hairdresser has become more bi-coastal and is less available as a result, which means that he's often booked weeks out. On an impulse, I searched for another and came across Janelle. So glad I did! She gave me a great cut, she's very welcoming, and I love her space. What do my dentist, 11-year-old nephew, and work colleagues have in common?  They all pay me compliments on my hair.  Janelle has done my hair (both color and cut) for 8 years and I'm not looking back. Janelle is the best! I have tried 6 different salons in the West LA/Beverly Hills area with very mixed results. I'm a musician with long hair and I need my hair to look good on stage. Looking for an amazing cut and color, Janelle is incredible.  The guy I had gone to for 10 years, when he left the state. After trying friends referrals, that just didn't work for my skin tones and limp hair, lost in fails, of bad brassy or Marilyn blonde, I was afraid to try someone else .  But what can you do?  The search continued. a friend recommended Janelle, I read her amazing reviews and booked for full color and a new cut.  Everything about the appointment was fantastic.  The whole vibe was relaxing and Janelle makes everyone feel comfortable right away.  Yes, there were two other longtime regulars there during my appointment.  It was great, her customers were awesome too and it made it feel like you were all hanging out having the great snacks (love that) and chatting.  The cut and color were perfect. I love Janelle! I have literally never been disappointed in a visit with her. I used to be a hair stylist so I feel like my opinion is pretty valid and she is incredible. She always makes her clients feel right at home (snacks and drinks are definitely a plus!) and loves to answer any questions you may have. This was my first time visiting Janelle and I truly enjoyed the experience. First, she made me feel very welcome- she has a great personality and is super relatable. I can't say enough good things about Janelle, not only is she an amazing colorist but she's also one of the sweetest people I've met. I have a lot of hair! it is very thick and course and my haircolor was also very very dark, I have been wanting to do Balayage in a much lighter color for a long time and i'm so happy that I trusted her with my hair. It did take two sessions because of how dark my hair was, but I am truly happy with the end results. She creates an amazing environment where she really listens to what it is that you want and also makes you feel super comfortable. Her assistant is also very lovely and it's just a fun place to be. She even has gluten-free snacks which is incredible as a Celiac! Janelle is a life saver.  I have been lucky enough to have had a great hairdresser for years, but he recently moved back to England.  Little did I know how hard it would be to get my hair on track.  I tried a few places and spent a lot of money on a style and color I didn't like. A few people later, I found Janelle.  She gets hair!!! She knew exactly what I wanted and delivered it.  She immediately understood my hair and what was needed.  She also suggested I try straightening my hair with her own patented Brazilian product and I can't believe I waited this long.  I'm so glad that she did it because it can be so hard on your hair but her product doesn't have all those toxins. It is the best, it has cut out my frizz and cut 30 minutes out of my styling time. I can't actually do it myself and have it look great. Plus, I needed color correction and roots and wanted lighter tips, but not highlights.  She worked her magic and got me back to the darker roots I wanted without going black.  She is the queen of subtle.  She just knows what to do to match your skin tone and face shape.  She cut my hair both wet and dry.  She is an expert and I am thrilled that I was led me to her door.  She is my person.  I can now relax.  Thank you for everything Janelle.  That's the hair part, but I have to mention that she is just an incredible person.  You get to know someone when you are in their chair for hours and hours, my hair takes time to take color so we have truly gotten to know one another.  Go see her to handle all your hair needs.  One stop shop!!! Janelle is a miracle worker!!! Before I saw her I had a bad hair experience with a terrible color job and haircut. I was on a mission to find the best hair stylist to help fix my hair. I wish there was a 10 STARS rating...because that it what I would give Janelle. She is the HAIR WHISPERER!!! I contacted her after getting bad highlights followed by a botched cover up. Not only did she squeeze me in immediately... so I didn't have to live with this terrible hair, but she literally worked a miracle, I didn't think my hair would ever look normal again! But Janelle worked a miracle on my hair. She lifted the bad dye job without chemicals and then added a beautiful golden balayage. What was I even doing before I found Janelle ! As you can tell from my "before" picture, I trusted the wrong people with my hair. A lot of hair stylists can make your hair look shiny and beautiful the day of your treatment, but what makes Janelle's work stand out the most is that she makes your hair look good even months after. NINE months after seeing Janelle, my hair was still getting compliments. Not only is she a genius colorist, she has the sweetest soul and will put in the time to make sure you are happy with the results. Janelle is the BEST. That's all you really need to know. If you want amazing natural color, style and delicious hair, you must see her ASAP. I wouldn't trust my locks to anyone else. She's been my colorist for 5+ years and I continually recommend her to everyone I know. I'm often stopped and asked who does my color, and I've gone from blonde to red and back to blonde without a hitch! That's really hard to do, but Janelle does it without batting an eyelash. Janelle is THE BEST! I've been searching for a great colorist in LA for the past 2 years and I am so grateful that I finally found Janelle! My hair needed saving from a recent trip to another salon that left my hair looking drab and sad. This review is way overdue but it is well deserved! I came to Janelle with hair that had been highlighted and dried out, with blonde tones I disliked on my brunette hair. Janelle started with a consultation with me and was very clear that she did not make drastic changes with her first time clients and that she was a fan of creating natural looks, which is exactly my style. She did just that, and I have to say she did the best color job I've ever had. She did a full "foil" (but did not use foil, she used another material), adding in two new tones and leaving my base my natural color so that the new colors were gradually integrated with my hair and I didn't grow out roots. She gave me a blended look with expertise - I did not find any chunks of color, stray highlights or anything of the such. She's very skillful, direct, and will spend as much time it takes to do a great job. I recommend Janelle for anyone wanting a natural, well blended color! Janelle is incredibly skilled at what she does. I have very, very, VERY dark hair and got the urge to go lighter. I was adamant about there being no red and Janelle nailed it. From one picture alone, she took my gloomy mop to a bright, natural-looking chocolate brown, which garnered a ton of compliments on its own. We set up a second session to add lighter touches throughout, and I'm convinced that Janelle is incapable of doing anything less than stellar work. She has an impeccable eye and depth of knowledge. I don't color my hair often and the last couple of times I had, I didn't get the results I wanted and ended up disappointed. So when I made the decision to go blonde, I was on a mission to find the best colorist in LA who could make my blonde vision into a reality. I'm so happy I listened to all the other Yelp reviews because Janelle is a goddess with hair color!Right off the bat I felt super comfortable in my decision because she asked for images of my hair inspiration AND of my current hair color, so she could determine the best shade of blonde for my skin complexion and tone. Since we were dramatically lightening my hair, it took two sessions to achieve the blonde that I wanted. And they were both totally worth it because I am obsessed with my new color! She darkened my base to make the blonde really pop, then started using the balayage technique on the rest of my hair for the blonde. The results are gorgeous and, best of all, low-maintenance and natural-looking. In the back of my mind, I've always been terrified that I would look awful as a blonde, but the different shades of blonde Janelle used match my skin tone and complexion perfectly. I feel SO confident with my new blonde 'do! Janelle is THE BEST! She actually saved my life and my acting career! Being naturally light brown, I dyed my hair black a couple of years ago. Seven years have passed and I finally decided to get rid of the "black". Every colorist told me that it will be so difficult to do it....almost impossible. One of my actors friends told me about Janelle´s amazing skills as a colorist. And I am so glad I have listened.
