The most important person to invest in for a wedding is a photographer. Wedding photos are something you will cherish for years and years to come. Jana was everything I had hoped for and more. Every time I look at my wedding photos, I feel as if I am reliving the day over and over again. Every picture was carefully thought out and she did not give up until she got the right shot. I cannot thank her enough for the excellent work she has done! Jana was a joy to work with and even to this day I get compliments about how great my photographer was. To say that Jana was just our wedding photographer on our big day is a vast understatement. She was our wedding expert, crisis manager, day-of-coordinator, supporting friend, and obviously the most amazing wedding photographer that we could have asked for. From Day 1 when my husband and I hired Jana for our September wedding - she helped us with every aspect of our wedding planning agenda. Because she is an absolute expert in the wedding industry she was able to offer so many insightful tips during the planning process; many items that my husband and I would have never thought about on our own. Not to mention, we were planning our wedding from over 1,000 miles away (without a wedding planner) and Jana's communication and assistance was invaluable to us.

And if you are looking for a photographer who will work with you to tell your love story, she is the one to be with. During our engagement session she really spent time getting to know my husband and I so that she could take photos that really revealed our unique love and personalities. There were several times I remember her saying something along the lines of "oops that photo doesn't look like you guys, let's try something else" and the finished product was absolutely a direct look into the love that my husband and I share.

We live in a world of "Pinterest obsession" where brides plan out every aspect of their big day based on photos and images from previous brides posted all over social media - but I can assure you that Jana will capture those moments that you never even dreamed of during the planning process on your big day. We gave Jana a few "must-have" photos that we wanted on our big day, but the ones we loved the most were the ones that she put together and captured for us. That to us is the mark of a true professional in our opinion.

Something else that set Jana apart from many other wedding professionals in the area was her willingness to be completely immersed in your big day. Jana never sets a time limit on your wedding day and is there from the very beginning to the very end. It was such a relief to know she was always there capturing those special moments all day long.

My husband and I are forever grateful for the memories that she gave to us from our engagement session to our big day. Thank you just doesn't feel like enough for a wedding vendor who truly made our wedding day, but it is definitely a start. I cannot recommend Jana highly enough to brides-to-be!

Jana Scott was the best photographer we could have asked for on our wedding day. Her product (the photos) are beautiful, enchanting and truly speak for themselves. However, it was her service - and ultimately her personality - that put her in an elite category as a professional photographer. We initially contacted Jana to shoot some engagement photos for us at Penn State. From the first phone call with her, she made us feel very comfortable. She answered questions with ease, had helpful direction and was confident. All of these factors made it so easy to trust her. Then when we met in person and completed the engagement session, we knew we HAD to have Jana photograph our wedding. We loved her and honestly would have been disappointed if she wasn't with us on our big day. Jana was an absolute dream to work with. She was so accommodating throughout the entire engagement and wedding process! We knew we wanted Jana to be our photographer from the moment we saw her beautiful work, but we could never have imagined how wonderful it was to work with her.

She always made us feel SO comfortable (which is saying something, because my husband and I don't love having our pictures taken) and she did a great job of capturing our personalities! Working with Jana for our wedding was a wonderful experience. We felt welcomed from the very beginning by Jana's warm personality and positive energy. Even her quaint and beautifully decorated space in downtown Lemont, PA inspired confidence that she was the person to realize an artistic vision for our wedding.

We had originally planned for a photographer to take pictures just on our wedding day, but, after meeting with Jana, decided that we also wanted an engagement session. Both days were fantastic. We were able to put up great pictures from our engagement session at our wedding and will be including them in our thank you cards. The wedding itself went very smoothly and Jana spent the entire day with us capturing fantastic pictures that we will always cherish. She even managed to wrangle one of my overly-energetic and goofy groomsmen into standing still for a number of our planned photos.

Jana has been an absolute joy to work with throughout our engagement and wedding! Jana was amazing and we are so happy we booked her for our August 13th wedding in State College.

From the get go Jana was extremely organized and responsive. That is so appreciated when planning a wedding. She ALWAYS took the time to help us and give us advice and never made us feel silly for asking too many questions! I would send an email and it always received a prompt response. She really took the time to get to know my husband and I before our wedding and I think that shows in the photos. She was really able to capture "us" and our personalities on our big day. We had a very large wedding and Jana was able to capture so many special moments that not even we saw happening. We have had so many family members tell us how polite and professional our photographer was! She was able to capture moments without ever being "in the way" or being pushy.

I can't say enough good things about Jana and my entire wedding photography experience with her! Throughout the planning process, she was very organized and full of helpful information and tips. My husband and I got married in October of 2014. I did research on photographers in the area and I seen jana' s portfolio and I just had to have her for our wedding! ! Her photos were so beautiful!! I emailed her and she was quick to get back to me every time. My husband and I met with her and she was so welcoming and it wasn't awkward. We set up all our time line meetings through the year and she answered all my questions(even the ones that had nothing to do with photography.) Our big day came and she went above and beyond her job!!! She helped direct the caterers, the bartender and the DJ. The day went by so smoothly. Jana Scott was so much more than just a photographer for us. She helped us to plan the entire schedule of the day and kept everyone close to that schedule. Our wedding went so incredibly smoothly and I attribute so much of that to her. In addition to keeping everyone timely, which kept everyone calm and happy, she also took absolutely STUNNING photos! Everyone tells me that our photos look like they came straight out of a magazine. Our biggest criteria for a photographer on top of a high quality product was that they capture the emotion of the day. We used Jana Scott Photography for our wedding in September 2014 in PA and I was extremely pleased with the entire experience. Jana was exceedingly professional, organized, thoughtful and accommodating. My husband and I live overseas and Jana was flexible enough to work with us over the phone or email leading up to and after the wedding date. During the planning phase, she thought of lots of details that hadn't even crossed our minds, saving us time and hassle down the road. On the day of the wedding she arrived at the venue several hours before the ceremony to plan out all of the locations for photos so that everything went smoothly and we got the maximum amount of time with our guests afterwards.

We didn't know what we wanted at all in terms of photography and completely relied on Jana's suggestions and artistic vision. Jana was absolutely wonderful to work with. She's super organized (something I desperately needed as we were getting married out of state), kind, calm, and encouraging. Everyone in our wedding party was impressed with her professionalism and quick-thinking. One of my guests already booked Jana for her wedding and countless other friends have been calling "dibs" ever since! The "artistic weddings" tag line in her brand name is absolutely the truth. I wasn't going to hire someone who could take simple staged photos (I mean, even I can do that). I needed an artist who could see things that I couldn't -- the perfect sliver of light or over-arching tree limb, that makes a photo truly a piece of art. That is Jana to a tee!

Jana Scoot photographed my wedding and did a wonderful job! I was really happy with her thoughtful processes she talked to me several times before the wedding and helped me lay out a time line for the whole wedding. In essence she was like a wedding planner, she helped me to think of things I had never thought of and the time line was great for the day of because it helped everyone to stay on track. We choose to do most of our formal photos a few hours before the ceremony which I was so happy with because everyone looked fresh and no one felt rushed to get the pictures over. We did a lot of our pictures on our property out doors and they turned out beautiful. Jana gave me a whole day of her time she was at my house around 8am is and stayed till 7pm. As a side note she drove like 40 miles to get to where my wedding was. She took pictures of the girls and guys getting ready, she took pictures of our “first look”, and she took tons of formal pics, ceremony pics and party pictures. The package I choose we got all the digital copies of the photos and we got TONS of photos.

Jana was truly amazing throughout our entire process, & our photos were s dream come true! I truly cannot say enough about how fantastic Jana is!!!! To say she is talented is an understatement; Jana has an amazing gift for capturing every moment in the most crucial way. Jana was great from the start! Before signing on to work with her, she gave me a call to give me a run down of how she worked and get an idea of what I was looking for. Throughout the process she worked with me, with consistent check ins, to give ideas and allow me to provide ideas as well. In order to get pictures that I wanted on Penn State's campus, she came and met my husband and I for a next day session, after working late the night before capturing all the events of our reception. The pictures were great and she had a great attitude the whole time. She also stepped in at moments of panic when I couldnt get my sash tied or my veil to work- shes a great, well rounded woman to have on hand at any wedding!! More...

Jana was our dream wedding photographer. We loved her style and her artistic vision, but after we met her, the deal was sealed--we had to have her photograph our wedding! In addition to being an amazing photographic artist, Jana is a true professional and is very organized and detailed and thinks of everything! As everyone knows planning a wedding can be overwhelming, exhausting, and sometimes a little crazy! Jana is ORGANIZED, well versed in the wedding process, genuinely kindhearted, patient, and was interested in our wedding goals as a couple. The day of our wedding it was hot and when I say hot I mean the hottest day of the year however you would have never known it! Jana managed the day like a pro – with heat brings frustrated people but she was able to manage our 25 person wedding party with effortlessness, a little laughter, and a smile.
