About

As far as anyone can tell, you have it all together. But little do they know, you are close to burning out. Deep down, you struggle with insecurities yet you put on a brave face when you're not okay. I help people, like you, heal old wounds from the inside-out so you no longer have to pretend.

Trauma Therapy addresses trauma that is current in your life or from the past. We may talk about a stressful situation that happened long ago, perhaps even in childhood. On the other hand, the trauma you need to process may be a single incident such as a recent assault. Trauma Therapy can even address long term, chronic trauma that you’ve experienced over a period of time. Not everyone who experiences a traumatic event develops Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). However, PTSD is very common. If your trauma reactions are left untreated, you may develop symptoms of PTSD. Trauma Therapy can help you address trauma symptoms often before you develop PTSD.

Stress and Burnout Therapy helps you to slow down and take a good look at the source of your stress, perceptions and how to cope. Stress comes from many sources. In Stress and Burnout Therapy, we focus on work-related stress and look at the whole picture of how your job impacts different areas within your life. When I work with clients, we look at the situation to understand what might be happening on the outside (external forces out of your control) and explore what might be happening with you on the inside (attitudes, perceptions, mindset). Stress and Burnout Therapy helps you acknowledge and relieve the source of your stress and worries. Together, we work on helping you find a balance between work and home.

Relationship Therapy is about helping you, as an individual, understand yourself better because you want to improve your relationships. It’s about helping you find ways to better connect with all of your relationships including intimate romantic relationships, family, colleagues at work, friends and even your relationship with yourself. Relationship Therapy helps you understand yourself more completely, view the relationships that you’re in more clearly, and better understand the roles you play in your life. Relationship Therapy helps you gain clarity and insight into how you relate to others. It can even go further by helping you heal deeper issues that stem from childhood. You’ll come to better understand why there have been unhealthy patterns in your relationships for years and learn new ways to approach the same old problems.

Dramatherapy is an expressive form of counselling and psychotherapy. It is about giving you a voice and space to express yourself freely. Like counselling and psychotherapy, talking is a key component in Dramatherapy. You get to express yourself in more ways than one. If you’re feeling troubled, stuck or at a loss for words, we will find the right outlet for you. For example, we may work with art, objects, storytelling, role play, embodiment and movement. The healing process in therapy needn’t be overly painful or re-traumatising. Working creatively in therapy provides another layer of safety, protection and distancing when it may feel too raw to speak directly about issues and emotions that cause you the most pain and hurt. Working experientially in this way can be powerful and cathartic.
