I couldn't recommend anyone more. We gave James a hard task - we wanted laid back photos, that didn't take ages and didn't mean we had to be away from our guests for ages. Despite this we ended up with so many wonderful photos, without that "staged" look which is exactly what we wanted. In the lead up to the wedding James was a pleasure to deal with - very professional and provided helpful advice along the way. James was a truly excellent photographer for our wedding. All of the photos he took were fantastic, he's very friendly and communicative and really listens to what you want. He had the perfect balance of spontaneous and planned shots on the day, and everyone, including guests and suppliers, had nothing but praise for him. Dave and I would like to say a massive thank you for our photos!
We went to Christchurch Park in Ipswich with our 2 children for an afternoon and had a great time.
Never having done a photo shoot like this before, it was natural, didn't know our photos were being taken and James got some right corkers of photos too! James made us feel at ease which was great.
Will definately get some more photos done by James in the future and have no hesitation in recommending J M Perry Photography to all I know!

James was an outstanding professional. He was very subtle throughout the day - in fact we hardly noticed he was there (though the amazing photos tell us he was! ) and some of the photos he caught of guests when they weren't paying attention to him were lovely. When he needed to take charge though, to set up photos, he did it in a calm (and funny!) manner meaning that there was never any stress. Before the event we spoke to him on several occasions so he fully understood what we wanted (which he delivered) and he also offered lots of very sensible (and great!) suggestions on how to do things. He mentioned that he was fairly new to this, but you would never know it - it was as if he'd been doing it for years! I cannot speak more highly of J M Photography and I cannot wait to use his services again. He was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Just perfection.

Booking him was a breeze. We're from Norwich and he travelled from Ipswich to a suitable time & venue for us just to have a chat, get to know him and look at his work.

Being a very nervous (but excited) bride to be, he was extremely clear and efficient making sure he completely understood what we both wanted - even though I changed my mind a 100 times!

On the day, he was at my venue before I was (which was around 4 hours before the ceremony!). He gave me a few words of needed encouragement and instantly put me at ease again. James is a pleasure to be around.

He blended in the bridal prep room perfectly... Which must be hard for anyone! There was 1 bride, 2 mothers, 3 bridesmaids and 5 little children, with more people coming in and out all morning.

The children were extremely curious who this 'strange man' was in the room - but you can tell James has worked with young children before - letting them ask him questions, look at the photos he's just taken and having a laugh with them - making them feel comfortable in a strange environment.

He was polite and friendly to everyone he came across and yet invisible most of the time. He really just let us and all our guests, get on with enjoying the day. Me and my husband loved the idea of the more natural shots, (because we both don't like our photos being taken), catching us and our guests having a good time without us realising he was there taking a picture.

James has an incredible talent for capturing a feeling in an image. Which brings it all to life. It's currently been under two weeks since the wedding and I want to relive it again and again, which I'm able to because of my beautiful wedding photos.
