What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
There is no secret method to instantly take amazing pictures. You can follow standard rules and proccesses to take a good "by the book" photograph; but in order to achieve a great photograph you need to engage with your clients, do your research and most importantly put passion in to every shutter action.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Is there a specific style or look that you are going for? If not I am happy to discuss possible ideas and offer suggestions.
What do you love most about your job?
I have always jumped at any chance to use my camera. For me, meeting new people and helping them capture incredible moments has always been a pleasure.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was inspired to start working as a freelance photographer after leaving university. Many people I studied with went on to graduate jobs that never allowed them space to fully embrace their creativity. This is something that has always been neccessary for me.
Before university I worked part-time as a fire & flood restoration technician. This required long hours on site of fire and flood affected properties, and often required me to take photographs for surveying purposes. This started my love for photography and created a desire to become a freelance photographer.
