I've been here before for the shows but haven't ever really gotten to sink my fangs into the food until one day, I had a taste for it. Instead of driving to other familiar spots way across town, I decided to pay this establishment a visit. It's located in a nice, convenient part of town with lots of parking and is always willing to serve.Upon entry, we're greeted by authentic reggae music, authentic smiles, and authentic Jamaican food smells. This place has every popular Jamaican dish you could think of and also, wings, burgers, and salads, if you're not too familiar. You still get the taste. There is so much culture inside and it is spacious and clean!I ordered the Jerk Chicken plate, I know, cliche, but so good! The young man working that day was so nice as to make sure my meal only consisted of white meat as I typically don't eat dark meat or anything on the bone. I was so appreciative when I opened my to go plate. There was nothing but tender, juicy pieces of white meat adorned with spicy Jerk seasonings. The rice and peas was cooked right and the cabbage was a nice touch as well. I really enjoyed the Jamaican Lemonade too. Jamaica Gates could not be better! My sister and I stopped by after flying in from Philly last Thursday evening for a wedding and were blown away by the food and service. I came for my birthday dinner. It was nice. Food was good. My first time having goat. It was good just not my fav. Beef patties were on point. Jerk chicken was good.
