Approximately a year ago I started running with the simple (but incorrect) knowledge if you want to run faster and longer then just keep running faster and longer - thanks to my wife booking me a program with Jake, he taught me you need more than that, creating a personal plan encompassing specific core and upper weight exercises and an overall exercise routine to target distancing running. I quickly smashed PB after PB, 5km park run in just over 20mins, 10km in under an hour and then in October 2017 I ran my first half marathon beating my target of 2hrs with a time of 1hr 35 mins! Another program was set up soon after to get me through my first full marathon in under 4hrs and in April 2018 I completed the Manchester Marathon in a time of 3hr 19mins!! Without Jakes guidance and programs I know I wouldn't have made these times and more likely been injured as I became desperate to beat the targets - many thanks Jake Now let's target beating 3hrs 15 in the Yorkshire Marathon!!!
