Visit this place quickly because there's greedy commercial land developers that want to tear down this older mini-mall and therefore, disrupt/extinguish the current businesses here. German-influenced, come here for the great breakfasts and lunch (and probably dinner -- I just haven't stayed down south that long!). The hash browns are delightfully crisp: thin chips of potato, cooked golden brown and delicious (just like they ought to be but so often are not in other establishments)!  I love the plum jam.  It's spacious dining area, where you can leisurely enjoy yourself.  I love tucking into my meal at Jaegerhaus.  They have a huge banquet room, just ripe for renting out. You want real authentic German food well step right up and visit Jägerhaus!!!! Not only do they have some amazing eats but their customer service is ABOVE AND BEYOND.  We visited them on Friday after a long day at Knott's our youngest had fallen asleep on the drive over and when they saw he was asleep on my husband seated us at a large booth so we could lay him down. They were on top of our drinks the whole night, and checked in on us regularly but not in a pushy way. The food was some of the best German food I've had in the states. My husband got the deer steak and it was cook to perfection. Spatzel and gravy were just like my great grandmother use to make and the warm potato salad was my fave.We will be going back often!!Also, there is a company trying to buy out the strip mall that this restaurant lives in, if that happens then Jägerhaus could be no more. PLEASE if you live in Anaheim stop this sale from happening!!!! More...

A trip to Disneyland isn't complete without a visit to this fine establishment. If you love some hearty German cookery, this is your place. The owners go to great lengths to make sure that everyone is having a good time. Each time we've visited the owner, Sandra, "touches" every single table and checks in periodically to see if she can bring anything else. For me the star dish here (I order every time) is the Roast Ham Hock aka Schweine Haxe. Seriously, if you love sticky, crunchy, tender pork this is exactly the type of thing you need in your life. Served with 2 sides, my selections are always their amazing braised red cabbage and spatzle, plus plenty of bread you are going to leave with a happy-full belly. It's a popular dish so they recommend calling the day before to reserve yours, though I've never done this. Oh and don't forget to order one of their crazy good Germans beers or wine. After a day at Disneyland you earned this. More...

Jagerhaus continues to be a jewel for our family dining. We have been enjoying this restaurant for over 20 years. The food is made in the restaurant, not just heated and plated. When you order schnitzel, and you need to order it, you can hear the cook pounding the cutlet that you are going to be served. One may also order venison and elk. Roast goose is served during holiday seasons. The sides are also flavorful and authentic. Even if you have never liked sauerkraut, try it here. It is mild and tender unlike the canned and jarred monstrosities from the grocery store.Service is attentive and competent. Our waiter did his job so well and unobtrusively. He allowed us to enjoy the friends we brought to dine with us without us having to worry about him doing his job.Atmosphere is homey and very clean, but aging a bit. It is warm and friendly, though. Do not let the plain exterior through you off. Skipping this place on appearance is nearly a sin.The owner is present. She is interested in welcoming you and to know that you are enjoying your visit. Her presence is probably why this establishment is so pleasing. More...

I love this restaurant. Have been coming here for over a decade. Long time customer first time reviewer. I don't usually give perfect scores so would actually rate it 4. 5 stars but since leaving 4 stars on Yelp would be underscoring this restaurant given the amount of overratings on this site, I would therefore give it a 5.The roast ham hock is excellent and a huge serving! It could actually feed two and is a great deal. The crispy skin makes it so mouth watering. But what sets this restaurant apart is the game food. The braised rabbit is absolutely amazing (tastes like chicken... j/k) and I was recently recommended the grilled elk by the owner. It is cut into medallions and is wonderful. Doesn't have a gamey taste but certainly taste different from any red meat I ever tasted. I will be back for more in the near future. More...

The sausage was amazing;  the sauerkraut was great the red cabbage was amazing the chicken in the view were outstanding and the pretzel was like nothing I've ever seen before. I love the kitchen I saw  a slow roasted pork dish and a family of three each ordered and I could not believe what I saw. According to Sandie they cook six at the start of the day and they finish  you order them. When they're gone they're gone. I'm going to make sure I call before I go next time to order one. I love coming here when I'm in town. My coworkers and I have been enjoying their food since at least 2012 maybe earlier. We were here a week ago, and I had a large Hefeweizen and rahm schnitzel with 2 sides of spatzle. I love their spatzle which is why I get two. The portions are big and the meat is pounded thin. Great flavor.Don't be deceived. First time you come here you might be tempted to leave because it's not fancy on the outside. The interior design is like grandma's house. It's cozy and you can wear jeans and relax. The lovely lady who owns the place ones around to see everyone which is nice. One caveat: if you come with an unexpectedly large group, the service may be slower than you are expecting. What a lovely little place off the freeway. Want to eat some quality food without having to deal with the crowds and prices of Disneyland? This is the place. I haven't had much German food but this tasted authentic-  they have the awards and certificates to prove it. It was a great morning to grab some breakfast and it felt very home-y. Lots of pictures, white curtains, and lots of sunshine. I ordered the Spatzle Omelette just to get something very unique. It came with toast and was a huge size. I opted for just the bacon. It was good - I've never had Spatzle but it is like a doughy pasta. I enjoyed it in my eggs. The other thing that was a unique and tasty was their plum jam. I was expecting it to be sour and overwhelming but it was sweet and reminded me of apple butter. Overall, it was a great experience and there was million other things on the menu that I wanted to try. I will definitely sleep in next time and try out their dinner menu. More...

finally, i get to try this place. been eyeing this place for quite some time due to its close proximity of the 57 freeway. came here last week to get dinner for a coworker. luckily we didn't need a reservation, we got seated immediately. we got a pitcher of one of the oldest beer in the world, and it was some german lager.they give out some bread and butter while you wait for your food.i ended up getting the combo platter and it was awesome to try a little bit of everything. i believe with entrees, you can pick 2 different side dishes.  i'm very happy they had Spätzle... i had it once in germany before and been craving it ever since.  this place makes it pretty well.As for the other types of meat, they were very tasty and filling. i also went with the sauerkraut and it was wonderful.the interior decor is very outdated, it looks like a german's grandma living room. However, if i'm craving german food, i will most definitely come back. the only thing that irked me was that one of the waiters or helpers did not understand English that well. we asked for recommendation, and he couldn't help, he brought someone else over. we also asked for mayonnaise and he didn't understand and i had to use google translate to say "mayonesa" in spanish.  lol.... The outside is very outdated, and when you first walk in the décor is jarring. Wood paneling everywhere and gnomes and steins on the wall. You'll tell yourself that the tables seem like they're straight out of someone's dining room. Until you realize that the entire restaurant seems like a German grandmother's house. And that's exactly the point. From the imported beer, to the gorgeously salty liverwurst, and the potato pancakes with apple sauce... it's authentic and it's homey, exactly as it was meant to be. This is not the restaurant for a trendy Instagram-worthy brunch with the squad. This is where you go when you're looking for authenticity, and anything fake will not suffice. I never thought I'd feel so satisfied having a beer and a pretzel for breakfast, but I can tell you that I walked out with a giant smile on my face. More...
